Same here Silent though I don't know what year we got colour. We used to go to my Grandma's every Saturday to watch colour TV!

My first time watching a football match on colour tv was at my Wendy supporting uncle's house in Abney Close for the 1972 FA Cup final between L**ds and Arsenal. My uncle invited me to his house again for the following year FA Cup final between L**ds ans Sunderland. I still remember our reaction to Monty's double save as if it was quite recent. We looked at each other and were speechless!

Fjortoft's chip is in but I think the celebration isn't. Agree about Big Tri's effort. That, Brown's volley and Deano's goal against Liverpool are the big ones missing for me.

Fjortoft's chip is in but I think the celebration isn't. Agree about Big Tri's effort. That, Brown's volley and Deano's goal against Liverpool are the big ones missing for me.

I got the post mixed up and it wouldn't edit it.

I saw Fjortofts chip it was his other in the same game - took it round keeper and curled it in from an impossible angle - great goal.

Agree with Deane and Browny's volley. Also Michael 'Zico' Lake against Saints.

Pompey's keeper was Aaron Flahavan who twice collapsed on the pitch in separate games (not against us) with blackouts. Sadly he died in a car crash in 2001

I remember that goal, it seemed to me that Fjortoft dived as he went round the 'Keeper and got to his feet when he realised he could score!

Yes very sad. It was thought he must have passed out while driving - why he was allowed to drive was beyond me poor kid.
