what bull shit
usual paper rubbish

bruce and redknapp 1st and 2nd

spent forces at poorly run clubs , like birminghams 2 clubs going to be 1st and 2nd
Id have it completely the other way round

Load of bollocks but at least it predicts that we score some goals.

Above Bolton, Forest and Cardiff on goal difference.

I can see why Bristol City are linked with a £5m striker.

They've seen it too and panicked.

Still think we need to cool our expectations slightly.

This season is all about staying in the league.

If we get into 2018 in 16th/17th position and people are moaning about it I'll be really fucking pissed off

Ultimately it is all about staying up but I disagree slightly
I won't be moaning if we finish 16th but I would be really dissapointed.
Last season team (with no improvements) would have easily stayed up if it played in the Championship.

I watched the Championship last season and the standard doesn't look that great.
I'm pretty confident we'll finish mid table (at worse).
Don't expect playoffs but I wouldn't be shocked if we finish 8th to 10th.

I reckon 8 points from the first 5;

Brentford - win 3
Boro - Lose 0
Cardiff - draw 1
Barnsley - win 3
Derby - draw 1

Would be well happy with that!

Can someone please enlighten me as to why Birmingham, a side who finished 19th last season and with a mediocre squad at best, are expected to be challenging for automatic promotion?

Redknapp is joint leader with that other spiv Venables in the 'most overrated Cockney Wideboy' competition.

The teams coming down rarely start that well, I'd agree with your 8 points but swap the Cardiff-boro results as Uncle neil will do us over having to go there midweek IMO.

I don't. These things have a habit of coming to an end. I'd much sooner play a team who have just won six matches than one who have just lost six. That's football.

Don't worry, it's a bollocks stat. We lost at Birmingham 1-0 in 2008.

Funnily enough, reverse that scoreline and we would have been promoted instead of Birmingham.

Kevin Phillips scored in injury time. Had he not scored then we would have gone up as a draw would be enough
