I hate seeing posts like this one. I was 14 at the time, unreal night and it doesn't seem 2 minutes ago! The game against Hull is second favourite match, 2-0 up then its back to 2-2, Kenny injures himself and plays on (?) then up pops Unsworth in the 90th minute.

Better than the 5-2 at Leicester in 1990? Maybe you were too young/not born then but that was a cracker. So Leicester (a), Hull (h) and Forest (h). Definitely the best three games in the last generation. I wonder who the managers were?

It's worth noting that the average attendance for that season was similar to this at 18,073 and that the club's income and wage bill were roughly similar to this season too.

To achieve 3rd in The Championship, FA Cup Semi Final and League Cup Semi Final on that sort of budget is a phenomonal acheivement.

Which ever miracle worker managed to do it they must surely be a club legend now, revered by all. If only we could remember who it was. They might be able to help us out of our current predicament.

I tried not to watch this again but I couldn't resist. Say what you want but that year we never new when we were beaten. Any game we went behind you always felt we would always come back and get the win. Granted I felt like that last season (mainly because we had a better team than most) but that year our team wasn't great on paper, yes we had a few individual stars ( Jags, Brown, Kenny and even Tonge on his day) but Warnock made that set of misfits into a team and gave them the belief they could beat anybody and more often than not we did (Liverpool, Sunderland and Leeds twice). I'm not ashamed to say I got a little bit emotional watching that again, that year was so special to so many fans, its worrying to think when we will have anything like that again.

On another note, its a shame Steve Kabba had such bad luck with injuries and attitude problems, I genuinely believed he could have been a top player.

I always forget just how well Kabba took his goal, always overshadowed by Peschi's but he just made it look so easy.

That was an amazing night.

I really thought it was all over for us and we had messed up once again but to see Pesch come on and grab the winner I have never gone so crazy over a goal since. Then looking over to see the cocksure scabs crying their eyes out was classic.

You must have been sat near us JD, think we were about 3 or 4 rows back due to me sending the missus to get the tickets, she decided the front was the best place, none of us was too happy until the goals started going in and that moment just crowned a great night. You'll never beat Des Walker!

I was on a course in Liverpool so I watched it in a sports bar near to the Cavern. I was the only Blade so my colleagues drifted on to the next bar leaving me (slightly pissed) stood at the bar with 3 forest fans. The banter went back and forth just like the scoreline and by the final whistle it had become a little heated with me giving as good as I got. Needless to say I had to be rescued by two very nice gentlemen who had been stood at the door. They helped me onto the street and applauded my triple salko with twist as I flew through the air. What a fucking night!
