Fleetwood are averaging just under 2 points per game. 6 games 11 points. Which puts them 4th in the form table. After Bolton, us, Bradford.

So Fleetwood if carry on this form they will get 14 points. Which means we need 5 more points on current form.

Bolton are the in form team, 6 games 16 points. If Fleetwood went on the same kind of run 2.6 points per game. This would give them 18 points. Meaning we need 3 wins!

If Fleetwood tail off ever so slightly it will be over in the next 2 games.

Form changes. Bolton's will. Our class will still be there.

Oldham away was possibly our toughest remaining fixture.

So from the unbeaten run point of view, this is a great one to get out of the way.

We could very well go until the end of the season unbeaten now, and make it 17. Then we could start thinking about the record.

I said this before the game. I really believe that was our toughest game left away from home for a number of reasons.

We will almost certainly lose a game between now and the end of the season and looking at some of the reactions after yesterday's draw I dread to think what it will do to people! If Bolton win all their remaining games then you have to take your hat off to them and say well played. I will be amazed if they do though so let's not get too caught up in their admittedly great run when we are on a great run ourselves

Congratuations to the players and manager for this run of form - which has put us within touching distance now.

It was a good away point yesterday, on a shocking pitch against a team with a good defensive record recently. Seven games left, Fleetwood 10 points behind us. What's not to be pleased about that? Promotion first, then focus on pipping the hoofers to the league title.

We had it all before when relentless Fleetwood were breathing down our necks. I said then that their run was nearer the end than the beginning. So it proved. I now say the same about Bolton.
