For Once. We usually let teams back in, but not today, very good sign.

good win, Reading & Burnley can only draw...

Keep it up blades!

Pretty routine in the second half.

Shocking officials... not surprised we have so many injuries thanks to the lack of protection. Hope Killa, Morgan and Paddy are all ok for Tuesday... I think Quinny needs a rest anyway (the latter was complaining when he went off about his back... after the lovely kick in the kidneys he received after 10 minutes).

Campo should have been sent off in the first half for kicking out, shoving and generally trying to molest Ward off the ball in the first half. The fat scruffy git's legs have gone so that seems to be his main tactic.

Best bits of the game:

Ipswich fans cheering manically at their first shot on target.

Magilton getting some stick off the Blades fans and being pretty reasonable about it actually (not like that mardy prick Mick McCarthy).

Halford's goal... all kinds of sexy.

Played well:

Most of the team.

Killa seemed to lack a bit of composure at times.

Morgs was a rock but with how shit the ref was being, I thought he was going to get pulled up about his arms a lot more than he was.

Naughton and Naysmith were steady and assured.

The midfield went missing a bit in the second half.

Cotterill had a bright opening spell but the game began to get tighter, rougher and niggly which neutralised him.

Monty was amazing :D Still groans at his one stray ball forward though.

Quinny was crap today but it doesn't help when you get someone's kneecap in your kidneys in the opening stages. Should have been taken off before he was.

Halford was reading the game well today. Quite a few times he stood back and let Ipswich win the ball in the air, knowing they had no one to knock it too and he'd win it anyway.

Ward must be covered in bruises but definitely a contender for MOTM.

Henderson... seems to have got a bit more pace from somewhere. Sometimes communication was lacking with the front two a bit but like Ward, wasn't afraid to get himself where he was going to get hurt. Referees don't seem to like him for some reason as evidenced by the lack of freekicks he was awarded.

Subs:

Beattie... came on to add a bit more bulk and strength. Got himself about a bit.

JJ... didn't really have time to do anything. He looks so gangly when he's running with the ball.

Bromby... got booked for gobbing off but I think he only did it to make himself look tough :D

Went for Morgs, but Ward was a close second.

Good result today. Shame about the officials, but oh well!

I thought Halford, Monty & Ward were excellent today.

I thought it was a good clinical win and exactly the type of result that was required today.

After going 2-nil up quite early on i was concerned that the Blades might go on and rout Ipswich by 4 or 5 but it didn't happen and for one i'm glad as if we pasted Ipswich we may have gone int to the Barnsley game a bit over-confident.

All the United side played well with the exception of Squinny who i thought was a bit off the pace, Monty had a superb game and Henderson and Ward seem to have struck an excellent understanding as more of than not they seem to know where the other is and what the other is going to do.

The referee had a stinker, and Ipswich are still a set of obnoxious arrogant cheating b*****ds and for me i still can't stick their poxy club or fans

Good result. Wohoooooooooooooooo! Me happy. Give me great pleasure going out tonight to play darts in the local pub wearing my footy shirt.
