This should see the return of Billy Sharp, and if the Law Of The Sod is anything to go by he'll score at least one in front of the Kop.

In years past this match would have been easy to call - United to win, and by a fair few goals. Last season showed that this is no longer the case, and I fully expect us to get beaten again, especially after the dismal showing against Ipswich. I'd like to feel confident about it, but I've more confidence in picking the winning lottery numbers than United winning.

Im quite confident about this one, dont think Blackwell will want a repeat of last year and hopefully Billy will play because he is crap and wont score agianst us. If Treacy is back too then that will be a big boost.

Im going for 3-1 to the Blades with some silky football to be played too :)

two predictions here:

If Cotterill starts:
(Len moment!!!) Nailed on defeat 2-0 to Doncaster w/ Billy scoring at least one of them - yes infront of the kop! He'll casually glide round the pathetic number 11 and slot one or two in...

If Cotterill Doesn't Start!
Win for the blades...2-0

Early teams news.......

Treacy (knee) faces test v Doncaster so Cotterill & Little stand by.
Davies could start with Kilgallon out (ankle) out.
Cresswell in for Ward.

:)

I expect the team to be

Bunn

Walker Morgs Davies Taylor

Monty
Little Harper Quinn

Evans Henderson

Really not sure how this one is going to go. Can't say I am very confident. I'd expect a team of the calibre of ours to take Donny apart. At home with a big crows you'd be looking for us to win convincingly. However, they dicked us last year and they play some nice stuff on the ground. Last year they marked Henderson out of the game and our direct football had no effect. I hope that Blackwell has learned from this and we try and keep the ball on the deck. The defence will be shakier without Killa, but if everybody sticks to their job and doesn't make any individual errors then we should be ok.

Prediction 2-2. Although I hope that we win it, purely for the atmosphere and for what it will be like on here afterwards!? :-/

I'm down with flu (the real one, not man flu), so I'm considering missing my first home team fixture in a couple of years. Life's a bitch.

I might turn up anyway and infect you all though, so you might consider making a doctors appointment now if you need a sick note for work next week :D

I'm off on holiday in a week, so if you turn up and give me flu you might consider making a trip to casualty to get my boot from out of your arse if you want to sit down for the next few years. :D:D:D

If the weather's owt to go by, this'll end up being a classic

For those outside Sheffield, it's a little windy blow around here today, and I'm not just talking about Foxy :D

Disappointing really considering Donny's lack of shots on target.

Just adding the MOTM poll.

After the Ipswich game I thought we would go for the juggler against donny. How wrong I was. Sorry but "same old" . Very poor, hardly a force capable of getting and staying in the top 10, never mind the top two as sam ellis was dribbling on about on radio sheffield before match. Poor in every department, Defence gets shakier every game, toothless attack and no midfield.
On leaving the kop steps an old chap of around 80 years of age passed me shaking his head. The old blokes words were "how can you clap that off the pitch?" This old guy must have seen the "GREATS" at the lane over years and seemed amazed that after the game people were clapping the team off. Totally agree with him. Big change of some sort needed because apart from a win against the grunters we are very very average.

What's the juggler done wrong? ;)

At the moment we're surviving with a bunch of injuries and loanee stop-gaps. As such, the only real complaint I have is Evans and Hendo as a pair. They're both target men and watching them play together isn't pretty.

A team with Treacy, Ward, Killa and Harper all fit would be so much better to watch.
