This is utterly appalling. Completely disjointed, no real thought to the play. We've not had a single shot yet I think. I'd take my shoes off if it wasn't so chuffing cold.

Stewart does sound like he's having a better game. Possibly the best of what sounds like a nightmare.

I bet RS were broadcasting the dingles match

He must be improving from a pretty fucking low base then

Barnsley 3-1 up at Preston playing good football according to sky.
By contrast Beags is telling us that there is no way back for the Blades. He felt sorry for Ward being subbed since he never got a kick, presumably since he could never reach it.

Full time.

Watford 3 - 0 Blades.

Cleverley 39
Helguson 55
Cowie 74

Other than the first 25 mins or so when the game was scrappy and poor but we had most of the possession - that was probably one of the worst performances I've ever seen. After Morgan went off we fell apart. Joke defending, no possession, no clue, nearly every player had a mare and we could have lost by a lot more than we did. I very rarely come on a message board to moan - but that truly was awful.

Sorry, but I thought he was awful tonight. But so was pretty much everyone for most of the second half, even the players that had started off ok!

I take both your points completely, as you were there (or at least said you were ;)). My point was that from a LISTENERS point of view, his name was the only thing linked to anything positive that happened. Hence the SOUND term.

the only reason his name would have kept coming up is because the ball never went down the other side of the pitch, apart from the patented Blackwell Hoof-From-Kick-Off that No-one Can Reach. Ward played most of his time drifting into the centre, so it was like a 4 -3-1-1-1 formation, with the midfield playing about 3 centimetres in front of the back 4. we'd have been screwed without Nosworthy after Morgs went off (as a result of an unpunished violent challenge - As always the ref had us down as the villains of the piece while Watford could have had a blood sacrifice in the centre circle and got a mild telling off and a pat on the foofoo)
