I am proud that Sheffield United have played consistently well enough to be in third place in the championship with attractive, committed football by players with a team ethic on wages far below the median for the division. I do not claim that SUFC is older , bigger or better but, since we are not under threat of contravening financial fair play rules I am quite prepared to hold our record up for fair scrutiny and comparison with our neighbours across the city.

Yes, and Everton played at Anfield before vacating it to play at Goodison.
Everton actually played at Anfield, it was their home, they didn't just have a one off big game there like the pigs did at Bramall Lane, which they claim to be where they played all their home games before United existed...…...More lies

Regardless of tomorows result ,the two fanbases are going in different directions and it's being proven now that they can't even sell out for their one big game of the season,they've always been able to do that in my lifetime ( back to normal crowd the next week though )

Correct, and for a club that hasn't appeared in the Premier League this centuary they really should think things through a bit more before starting an argument which given Sheffield footballs history is as fine an example of ' Two bald men fighting over possession of a comb ' as you're likely to find anywhere.

As for the new company being incorporated in June 1990, am I being cynical or is that the reason that Graham Mackrell is currently facing charges in court as an individual and without support from his previous employer who legally no longer exist? Perhaps someone with better knowledge than I on the subject could enlighten us.
It's probably coincidental and it's just my unfortunate inability to look kindly upon that club. While holding no ill will toward the majority of their supporters several of whom are mates of mine I do have a dislike of the club itself based on their track record of being an embarrassment to our city.

The original company,the Plc was the original set up. It was struck off the register and then reinstated for an insurance claim relating to industrial illness claims over the building of the cursed West Stand. That company was the initial set up. As you say, the current business began in June 1990 and therefore have won the one trophy - League Cup - although don’t have the bribery shame or the deaths of 96 innocents. They can’t have it both ways.

It's probably similar at Villa with Wolves. A series of crap managerial appointments has left Villa fans going on about 'the good old days' (which, to be fair, include more than the Rumbelows Cup). Like Wednesday, they occasionally pull fans out of the woodwork for the big occasion, Grealish sometimes gets off his arse and actually puts in a performance and 'sleeping giant' status is confirmed. But it's the exception rather than the rule.

Wolves appointed a 'left-field' manager who doesn't rely on long-past 'glories', they play a dynamic, exciting style and have left their once-rivals far behind. Sounds familiar. Even worse (for Wednesday), we haven't relied on vast fortunes to do it.

I did see them. Difference being, Liverpool are genuine title contenders so the cheering was because they’ve dealt a hammer blow.

To me, the phrase conjures up an image of bloke whose wife has left him for a younger, more intelligent and attractive fella. Said ex-husband tries to save face to his mates in the pub that he doesn't care as he's, 'older, bigger (fatter) and better (at being a dickhead)' than the said counterpart.
