Was thinking about topping up my other wager at 12/1.

We should win this weekend after all it is only Colchester.

Beaten Colchester 3-0 at home for last two seasons.
Same score line this time around would be nice.

Chances of that happening?
Maybe now KMac has fooked off the lads will rally round, gel as a team and show some balls.

.………On the other hand - where normal, rational people exist .............?

Check out what Owen Coyle had to say about KMac.. Good player yeah, but not as good as he makes him out to be here.

“Kevin can have as good a career as Kevin wants – on his day he can be one of the best players in his position in the country,” said Coyle.

I've had a tenner on us at 10/1 to win the league.

I think we need to strengthen to finish in the top two. I have every confidence in DW but not so much in those who control his purse strings.

I'm not going to allow one defeat at Brentford to change my mind. That would be wimpish in the extreme. Similarly I'm not going to be daft enough to concede promotion to Wolves, Peterboro' or anyone else. Fifty years of football have taught me the folly of assuming anything in this game.

So yes, Nuddy, Auto it is.
:)
Jeez Pinchy, your optimism astounds me! Fifty odd years of watching United and this latest capitulation (the MacD transfer has really got under my skin more than any other) tells me we are doomed to another season of mediocrity when only a notch above that standard would get you promoted.
Without MacD I can see no one to pull the strings of the less talented puppets we currently have, hence I feel a possible defeat on Saturday which would sound a very loud alarm bell for me.
I hope you're right about Weir going out and getting some more troops in but I fear - a) a cheaper, nastier version of MacD is all we will get and......b) He won't be given the mandate from above to replace MacD.

Of course I could be wrong and have to bow to your superior perceptiveness ;)

Pretty much the way I see it too LSF.

I see a touch of complacency in the team after the Notts County game and they certainly caught a cold against Burton and Brentford. We couldn't even keep the ball at Brentford for any more than 2-3 passes at a time.

Colchester is normally a straightforward 3 points for us a the Lane but I have a suspiscion that our goals for column is not going to be troubled again and that can only spell danger.
