Smacks of lazy journalism to me.... but according to various papers...

Sheffield United will pay £6.5m for three midfielders and two defenders. West Ham's Nigel Quashie, Derby's David Jones, Portsmouth's Richard Hughes, Man Utd's Phil Bardsley and Aston Villa's Gary Cahill are the targets.

It would be nice to see this happening, me I am concerned when I hear our leader say nothing is going to happen until the end of the month, by then we will have had another four games and then we will be treated to 'non of their clubs would let them go'.

I am also concerned that no deals were in place for Bardsley of Cahill to sign on Jan 1st, what have the club been doing then?

Oh the joy of being a disgruntled blade.

I don't think Bardsley will stay, he's looked increasingly pissed off here and I can't see him staying. I hope he does though, I really like him.

I'm a bit concerned that all the midfielders we're being linked with play in the middle, because in my eyes we need wingers.

.

Robbo always stated that Villa wouldn't make a decision on Cahill till January itself.

Bardsley I am led to believe will defo be joining us, but its just on a basis of whether it will be permanent or an extended loan.

Loads of clubs want Cahill most of them lower prem teams, i think somewhere i saw sunderland were after him. i cant see them five coming asmuch as i would love it.

I think we will prob end up with Quashie, even though he is at WHU.

im sure bardsley said he wants to go to sunderland.

was in one of the rags today i think?

In his interview after the Wolves match he said he didn't know where his future lies, but that he'd be happy to stay at the lane.

cant remember where i herd it. was something like a fee was agreed for us with manure for £1.5million. Bardsaley said its alright but he wanted a say in it as he would rather go to sunderland.
