It may as well be 30 bob ! even if every penny was spent on adding QUALITY players to the squad at BDTBL it wouldn't be enough.

The 'performance' last night was humiliating the Blades looked like a pub team.
Is this the squad getting paid the highest wages in the Championship ? cause if it is sumats wrong big time at BDTBL.

Blackwell fits in well at BDTBL he's joined the 'wobble gob club'.

Dreadfull absoluteley dreadfull.

Dunno if anyone has seen this but thought I'd share just incase

Thats an interesting insight Scuzz.

Nice to see it all broken down.

Very interesting Scuzz,

Most interesting being that we would return the parachute payments and that the legal fees are over 1/2M.

The link is broken; what are we looking at?

Working on the quote you have done, perhaps it is being blocked by your work?

It is just a breakdown of everything that the Blades are claiming for, and how they reach the 30 million mark.

Thanks, there is every chance our company firewall is preventing me from viewing the image.

I'll have another look when i get home tonight.

Interesting reading indeed; i do wonder how we can prove that Jag's market value was £8 million.

I'm also a bit worried that the statement that i have read a number of times mentions that the reason we have won the case is because the pannel 'believe' that West Ham would have secured less points had Tevez not played in the games which west ham won.

I do share this view, but it seems like a massive decision based on speculation as opposed to facts.

I wonder how much of any money we get will be invested in the 1st team. Or will we be buying the whole azerbaijan football league, or a new hotel, or to help fund the incvrease of the stadium when we can't even fill it now.

I think that any money which we are awarded will be paid in installments and so it will simply be dissolved into the running costs of the club.

It will a useful buffer for when our parachute payments end this season and give us another couple of years to try and secure promotion from a relatively sound financial position.

Anyone expecting a massive recruitment drive in January or even in the summer on the back of this compensation is most likely in for major disappointment.

Spot on.

There is no way they will tell West Ham "Right we want £30M now".

Personally I don't think it will be anywhere near that figure.

All of this talk is simply speculative. For starters the £30m figure is paper talk, even the graphic doing the rounds is paper talk, lets face it its hardly likely that they would release intricate details of the claim that they are making. As mentioned the figure is likely to be less than this if we get anything at all.

Secondly im worried that this whole situation is going to make the current situation worse. All of the fans that are already shouting for the managers head will be given even more fuel by these media spins when january comes around when we havent signed any new £10m players.

Lets face facts, the compensation claim wont be settled until a completely different tribunal meet to consider the issue which is likely to be early next year (Yes people the window will be open by then and they will have only just sat down to talk about it) so any major goundbreaking signings wont happen in january. Then it will take them ages to make a decision. Frankly i doubt that the decision will have been made by next august. And for all who say thats wrong, it will take as long as it takes. Then we have to take into account that should we be awarded the vast sum of £30m the chances of the club being handed a cheque for the said amount is slim. Whatever the figure agreed this will be paid over instalments which could last 5 years it could last 10 years. so it isnt going to be a sum of money that will make an instant impact on the team or club as a whole. The also leads to BB's claim that McCabe will pocket the money and run, maybe he will but he'll be around for a while yet to get it all back.

Also to take into consideration is the possability of appeal by WHU. forget what the papers and the FA have said about no oppertunity of appeal, thats bollocks. They wont be paying all these big city type legal eagles to accept that comment. They will be already scanning all over the documentation to find the loopholes and make the challenges. This may work in our favour, might not.

At the end of the day this is far from being over, and it will run and run.

Excellent post MAQ I just feel that the money is irrelevant (to a point) and I'm just happy that people now recognise that...
a) WHU cheated by fielding illegal players
b) The FA and PL were too soft (or had ulterior motives) in not docking WHU points and seeing them relegated
