Stupidest thing you've ever seen on a football pitch

Jagielka and Mceverly have both batted the ball away in the box. Ben diaz is killing me this season with the amount of times he kicks the ball out of play.

Bladettes and driving a noddy car in front of south stand at HT . A car nobody wanted to win due to shame if owning it 🤣

I seem also to remember Wally Downes getting sent off at BDTBL for a deliberate elbowing that could be seen from space.
It was Paul Williams who elbowed the Ipswich defender when Wally Downes was about to take a free kick from outside the box. The ref spotted the elbowing incident and then sent Paul Williams off. As soon as Paul Williams left the pitch, Downes then scored direct from the free kick. It was the Bradford match a few weeks later that Wally Downes got sent off for a two footed lunge at Karl Goddard.

Ah, my dodgy memory. 🙂

Quite a player Wally, 9 appearances including as substitute and 2 sendings off.

Maybe it was the talk of us signing over the hill players that brought him to mind.

A tackle by Alan Harper of Wendy in a behind closed doors match in pre season ended his career, didn't recover from the broken ankle.

I remember my Dad telling me that story. The way he tells in, winning that free kick is about the only thing Paul Williams did right in a United shirt.

Loaning Peter Withe to Birmingham City.
Allowing him to play against United.
Scores two in a 2-0 victory for The Blues at BDTBL.
That was unbelievable really whoever made that decision at the time ! players could play against there club if the club agreed .It was outlawed soon after .That was a crazy decision at the time.
