Bit hard to slam the guy when he only turned up with the team on Sunday morning. He will have seen how poor this team and these tactics are. Big job to lift the players for the cup match on Sunday and to come up with a tactical system that will enable these players to compete
The Michelin Man! Looks a couple of stone overweight at least. Never got near the ball and didn't cause any issues. Even last year in his purple patch he was a lousy sub. Brewster offers more promise I would say now
Really lacklustre. Awful non existent service into the forwards though. Held the ball up well on occasion drawing fouls through experience/(diving?)
He ran about but didnt get on the ball much - a cameo and good to see a homegrown young player get some game time.
Error strewn performance from John, but at least he tried a few things going forward. Got a few rough tackles.
Got overran big style. Also got passed straight through. Never got anywhere near Tielemans or any other of their midfield. Any free kicks and set plays were wasted by him and Fleck. Not quite as bad as Lundstram
Another supremely irritating display from Lundstram. He wore the shirt and jogged around. But didnt break sweat, showed no desire to close down or break forward and ruined whatever momentum we did have with slow backwards passing. He showed no respect to the shirt or the fans watching on telly. I would bin him off now
Another turgid display from Stevens. He is looking out of his depth. Basic 10 yard passes usually go astray. Defensively suspect and offers nothing going forward. Presume he started as one last piece of Wilder loyalty to one of his trusted lieutenants over the last few years, but you can't see him nailing down a starting spot in the championship once RND comes back. I would also try and get Lowe some game time this season instead of Edna to see if he (Lowe) can improve in the forthcoming matches.
A couple of decent challenges but fell asleep numerous times and wanted too much time. Ball watched on one goal. Vardy robbed him at least 3 times and should have done better and finished those chances. Looked so badly out of his depth it was untrue. Thanks for the effort and goal at Old Trafford Kean but this standard is a couple of steps above you and we need better.
Scored an OG but probably not our worst defender. Totally ragged at times with poor positioning and weak closing down. We probably could have done with him in midfield to provide some more protection to the back 8 or whatever it was
Thought Bash had a bit of a mare. He got beaten for pace repeatedly by Steptoe and his positioning was all over the shop. He didn't give up but was out of his depth. Hopefully just down to fitness.
Erred badly for one of thier goals. Offered nothing going forward, not really a wing back any more, more a full back in a back 5.
Solid performance nad our undoubted MoM despite conceding 5. Managed to keep Steptoe from scoring which was a rare bright spot
Heckingbottom can take absolutely no blame for this absolute shit show. Turned up this morning hoping the players would follow the prep and play for the shirt. None of that happened, ain't his fault though.
Go
I on short notice but that was really bad.
Why is there no zero option?
Put him on gendering leave.
Only gave one as there’s no zero option.
