Am I right in remembering that after our last home game of the 2004-05 season (against Millwall) fans were chanting for Warnock to go? After a few years of progress there was a feeling that we were heading backwards with Warnock in charge.

Definitely.

Several times.

Including during our promotion season too if I remember correctly.
I can't remember any Warnock Out chants during our promotion season, but I remember that season as being good performances played in sunny warm weather. I may be remembering it with rose tinted glasses!

I don't remember this, but it's possible some did.

About 50 chanted Blackwell out against QPR, but it was hardly a car park protest.

I missed the Crawly game, did they chant for Wilson out? If so, it was the first one at the lane.

I didn't even hear any Wier out chants, I think we were all too stunned and I definitely didn't hear any Clough out chants at the lane.

Patient fans, trigger happy board hiding their own failings

There weren't many chants against Danny Wilson. I think fans were sympathetic after we's sold Nick Blackman. Robson is the only manager I think we have really turned against.

There were a fair few chanting for Clough out away at Crewe when we lost 3-0, the last game before we won 10 in a row and ended up in the FA Cup Semi Final.

Probably.

This is what we were thinking during our promotion season and some of us were not happy with Warnock or team even then: http://www.s24su.com/forum/index.php?threads/pessimists.865/

I remember Warnock out, Robson out, Blackwell out, bizarrely "one Micky Adams" after he relegated us. Wilson out was also quite loud on a couple of occasions. None since then though

My great grandad chanted `Nicholson out`,after we lost an Fa Cup final to Spurs in 1901, at every game until Nicholson passed away in 1932.
It was much harder to get a manager out in them days, no car park, or Praise and grumble.

Yes we did, I was there and I was one of those singing there's only one Neil Warnock. I know that's easy to say now, because Warnock went onto obviously do really well but the fans were pretty split back then after what was a fairly disappointing season. It was funny looking back to hear half of the kop sing Warnock OUT and the other half singing there's only one Neil Warnock. If truth be told I think there was far more Warnock OUT then there was One Neil Warnock! That summer though we signed Paul Ifill (who never got the credit he deserved in my view during the promotion season) Neil Shiopperley, Keith Gillespie and as the season went on Craig Short. He finally got the backing he needed rather than having to sign freebies and bargain basement signings, who to be fair also were art of the promotion team like Kenny and Kabba.

Sarcastic joke but Nicholson was the club secretary, not the manager

Coventry away during the promotion season had some pretty vociferous Warnock out chants.
we weren't very good that day, but still.....

Yup some chanted it at Cov when we were awful and had been for a few games. Still ridiculous though.

We then beat Southampton 3 nowt in our next home game and I think (though not sure) Leeds/Watford both failed to win that weekend and we never looked back.

Yes, a sort of `Director of football of his day`, think he ran the team as well as doing all the admin side
Admin side including signing players. Football committee of directors picked the team, Trainers such as George Waller, Jack Houseley and later Bill Brelsford did the tactical planning along with the captain

When was the 3-0 away defeat to Plymouth? Night game about Feb time.
That was either the promotion season or the season before.

I got into the ground 5 minutes late and heard a cheer whilst queuing up outside, we were 1-0 down in 2 minutes. Then we were 2-0 down and really poor. We never had a shot in that 1st half. We played long ball and were pretty terrible.

The team got deservedly booed off with "Warnock out" chants, also loads of really nasty insults thrown at Warnock.
Thought we must get better in the 2nd half, then were were 3-0 down.

I think our first shot at goal was a long shot after about 70 minutes.
All Blades on the away end in the corner section went wild and sarcastically cheered that we'd actually had a shot. It was freezing too and a depressing non event of a performance.
Loads of loud "Warnock out" chants at the final whistle
