Bennet Vs Grant
Ok fair does he might be ok, but i think Bennet is better, something like 2 goals conceded in 4 or 5 league games, cant be a coincidence since Paddy got injured

Cahill vs Simek
One wednesday fan actually said to me Simek was better, so i replied, finish you weed of son, i in my humble opinion think Cahill is one of the top 3 centre backs in the league no way is Simek a better player


Webber vs Sodje
Now i think this one is quite good as sodje was compared as shit, not he has scored a few goals he is great, and webber hasnt scored but people say he is getting better, if im honest i havent seen Sodje play so i cant really compare, however i do think webber has better ratings and has played for better clubs so he is better end of

those are the main ones we were talking about at college however i have saved the best till last, this made me laugh for a long period of time, although he wasnt in the wendy team on Saturday


Jeffers vs Beattie
Im sorry but how can you compare beattie to this guy, its quite unbelievable, best striker in the championship, maybe can be argued with King but thats about it, i cannot believe someone said to me Jeffers is better

Not sure really, Grant was terrible at the start, however, recently confidence looks high and he looks a good keeper

Cahill vs Simek
Where does Cahill play for you? Simek is a quality right / wing back. He has been very consistent for past couple of years. Quality at going forward, great defender and good head on him. Very good player but couldn't really cvompare as not seen enough of Cahill


Webber vs Sodje
Webber for me aat the moment. Sodje has looked good for the past 2 or 3 week when against Tudgay, however, he is very unproven. If someone gave me the choice between the 2 i would say webber, however, i must admit the way sodje has played recently he looks like he may be a decent buy in the end

Jeffers vs Beattie
Beattie anyday. Jeffers is a crock, was a gamble and definatly a panic buy. Anyone who says Jeffers is either a retard or simply doesn;t understand football what so ever

yeah, i think Simek is a fairly good player to be fair, has always looked like he could play for bigger and better teams than Wednesday (and I'm not saying that as offensive to Wednesday fans, he's probably better than most teams in our league to be fair)

Cahill Vs Richard Wood would also be a better comparison - I'd have liked to have seen Wood at the Lane before he got injured - since he's been back he's been good but this season he's been piss-poor. For me the better option is Cahill still. Great on the ball, great leader, powerful but composed. That said, he isn't ours! Wood Vs Lucky on the other hand, I'd have Wood. He's still only young too.

Beattie Vs Jeffers - no contest for obvious reasons. My Wednesdayite mate offered me a bet at the beginning of the season (ie who would score more for the season) - after just two games my mate paid up!!

Wood vs Cahill - Cahill every day. Wood is a good player, but no where near the standard of Cahill. SWFC's longest serving player, so that says something. Sometimes seems a little nervous on the ball, makes a few mistakes with slipping and going for the long ball. Overall, decent strong, fast center half but Cahill for me

Beattie vs Jeffers - Obviously

Simek vs Geary - Simek every day. Seen them both and would much rather have Simek. Not just because im an owl, just genuinly because i think he is the better player. Simek had a fair few premiership clubs looking at him last year, and im very surprised he's still with us. Only reason probably being is he doesn't have an agent



Sodje is a very powerfull strong forward and was immense on saturday. Like i previously said, He is unproven and im still unsure, but hopefully, he will turn out good

After seeing Simek play this season (on Sky admittedly), I'd have to say he's ok at positioning when defending but his passing is as unpredictable as Monty's at times.

Where as Geary is as good when defending and can pass a hell of a lot better, and can outjump alot taller players and cross the ball pretty well for a right back and has Premiership experience (Which Simek doesn't) where he looked far from out of his depth.

While i'm on about Geary, I hope the New Irish manager actually takes a look at Geary and see's he's well worth a place in the National team.

I've seen Simek 4 times this season as well as plenty last season and I have the same discussion with a couple of mates who are Owls fans. Geary has come on leaps and bounds since his arrival at the lane and there's no shadow of a doubt that I'd value Geary higher than Simek.

Anyways, my opinion is that Geary is the better player, and although he has played for the Owls, he is a hell of a lot better player than when he was over at s6. I think DJ that you are comparing the Delboy of old to Simek to be honest.
