Much better performance and post match interview than the one at Gillingham . We could be finally getting our act together , but usually it's win one , lose two .

We will see as it's better to be positive than cynical.

I think his contract expires 2017 and if we expect him to be committed to us we have to commit to him ie give him a new contract or risk being in the same situation as we are now with a number of demotivated players.
I'm undecided whether or not I want to see him given a new contract but if he did say that (and it could be bollocks) then it's made my mind up.

Because they know they'll get a contract somewhere else. Most footballers over estimate their worth and ability, it comes with the confidence they need to play in front of large crowds, so it doesn't occur to them that they could end up at Queen of the South for £200 a week.

And they live sheltered lives and many are thick as fuck. Google how many former PL players go bankrupt within five years of retirement. They have little understanding of the real world and most are just overgrown kids.

Basham was smashed at the end of the game , i think a better word would be shattered as he put in a double shift yesterdy that was a great
performance from him .

If that's true then that's a shame. Not too bothered what he's said about Adkins when he's absolutely smashed as we've all said things when we're drunk we regret and I'm sure we all have opinions on those above us. However, it's a sad state of affairs that beating Walsall and performing very well for the first time in a while means that it's a cause for a huge celebration after the game. While I'm very happy with the win, it's not enough and if this is the attitude of senior players every time we win then it's no wonder we've barely strung 2 victories together in a row this season.
I hope this is just something being stirred up and not actually true.

If it was a straight decision between bringing in Hammond permanently and keeping an inconsistent and mostly average basham, then it's basham all the way for me. However i think that Adkins will favour Hammond. Sadly.

I don't expect to see Basham's contract renewed at the end of the season either – mainly due to the fact he has an extra year if reports when he signed are to be believed.
