Cant believe one talks about unlucky teams and the play offs & not mentioned their opponents

"Are we the biggest underachievers in world football?"

Seriously?

Making it sound like they've had to put up with stuff worse than we have!
Not a chance - not until they've suffered the scale of underachievement, near misses, bad luck and just pure kick in the bollocks fate like we have.

'Technically' they have put up with much worse. As he says all but 7 seasons they have been in the bottom 2 divisions. What are we in at present? Ninth or tenth season below the top 2?

We have failed in so many big games that Southend could only dream of playing in.

SUFC v SUFC. mid-table, meaningless fixture live on Sky for all to see. Embarrassing.

It's only meaningless if we lose or draw.

If we win, and follow it up with a win at the weekend, the season is still alive. I know we haven't managed 3 consecutive league wins all season and it's highly unlikely we'll manage it this week, but the Southend game is not quite meaningless.

Hard to believe they talk about under achieving in a game against us but see themselves as the under achievers. Either they're taking the piss knowing Roy will be reporting back or we should all be more appreciative of our fantastic record of at least getting to the major games which we invairiably lose.

Give over.

Southend would kill to have experienced half the stuff we have.

I hope you are right but I'll be happy if we finish in the top half of the table. I'm dreading a thumping somewhere along the way too.

If we don't win tomorrow that's me done this season maybe do Coventry last day.

If you assess disappointment relative to levels of support I think we have suffered the most, hands down. In fact only the Geordies run us close IMO and that's only because they've got twice as many fans.

Disappointment is relative to expectations, has to be.

After our win on Friday. . . . . This is the game we lose miserably. Its in the fucking script. We've done it all season, so why would we change things now.

Ahh but, that's all the more why our experiences have been slightly worse because their expectations and exposure to anything higher than league one and the first round of the FA cup are a lot lot lower.

I'm sure there isn't any other team out there that has had the sheer "bad luck" and shit twists of fate that we've had, which in turn contribute to underachievement (just look at our current situation and the various things that's contributed to that.....starting back in the Premiership many moons ago).

3-1 tonight boys.
Playoff run starts here!

Are you having a laugh? Have you been to the Ricoh Arena? There aren't enough wild horses in the world could drag me there for a mid table Division 3 game.

And btw it isn't the last day, a home defeat to Scunthorpe follows a week later.
