I should be focusing on other matters, but instead I've been trying to come up with a team of Blades players from eleven different nations (none in the British Isles). This is the best I have come up with so far:
1. Hans Segers, Holland
2. Gus Uhlenbeek, Suriname
3. Doug Hodgson, Australia
4. Swedish centre half who briefly played when Bassett was manager, can't remember his name.
5. Vas Borbokis (Greece)
6. Bruno Ribero (Portugal)
7. Georges Santos (Cape Verde)
8. Florent Cuvelier (Belgium)
9. Peter Ndlovu (Zimbabwe)
10. Alex Sabella (Argentina)
11. Petr Katchuro (Belarus)
Beat that!

We've had a few French players over the years.

Benoit Croissant
Laurent D'Jaffo
Jean-Philippe Javary
Christian Nade
Jean Calve

There's probably more.

Think that's the lot.....

We also had on our books Aksalu from Estonia and I think a player from Zambia around 2000, neither of whom played a first team game.

Also Abdi from Somalia and Starosta from Poland in the 2000s - neither of them played a first team game either.

Honourable mentions to the blades legends Laurens Ten Heuvel and Elian Parrino. Can't understand why the never made it in to your team o_O

Was trying to remember Aksalu's name

Who was the Italian CH we had for a while? Don't think he played much, if at all. Gabriel someone?

Oh, and Gary Brazil. From Brazil.

(Not really, obviously)

Emanuele Gabrieli. Only appearance was a late sub at Gillingham on 17/10/04 after Morgan was sent off in order to shore up a defence when we were winning 3-1. He memorably went on a mazy run up the right wing when he should have been staying back and I think that was it as far as Warnock was concerned.

That chap from Myanmar we have just sent out on loan

Who was that kid we had on loan from Inter Milan a fair few years back? That 17 year old (or whatever he was), destined to be the next best thing since Cristiano Ronaldo?
Was he Bosnian or Serbian or something? Add him to the list.

Jonas Wirmola.

You could have also had Roger Nilsen
Thanks, yes it was Wirmola, only played a few games but looked like a decent defender. I'll give you Nilsen instead of Gus. I originally couldn't include him as fellow Norwegian Jostein Flo was in the team, but I had a late change of mind.
