Ok guys. Where are they now? We know two are on that great pitch in the sky, but the rest.
Goulding, Woodward, Hodgkinson, Furphy and Coldwell are no longer on this earth.

Speight is in Norway

I believe Eddy, Garbett, Franks, Bradford and Field are still in USA

Does Bill Dearden still scout for us?

We know about TC, Badger, Hemsley and Colquhoun still living locally and does match day hospitality for us.

Think Flynn, Cammack, Conroy and Ludlam still live locally

Last head about McAlister when he was West Ham's keeper in late 1980s

No idea on the whereabouts of Guthrie, Turner, Hill and Nugent

Ask Gemma nicely if you want to know where her dad is now!

Mike Speight is working at an academy in Moss which cooperates with our academy. He is actually here in Bergen this weekend as Sheffield United U14s are taking part in the same tournament they won last year. They played a friendly last night and won 5-0. A player from Mike's academy played for us and scored twice. The real tournament starts today.

New trendy kit with a thin black stripe, £100,000 spent on a new striker, new stand opening, building on a 6th place finish the season before, tipped as outsiders for the league title, whatever could go wrong?.........

And Wednesday had just had a disastrous season seeing them relegated to the third division for the first time in their history.....

And Wednesday had just had a disastrous season seeing them relegated to the third division for the first time in their history.....

That was such a fun season from our point of view, Wednesday won 5 games all season.

Wednesday's last home win was on 23 November, and their last win anywhere was on 28 December.

Wednesday's league record from 1 January 1975 to end of season: Played 17, Won 0, Drew 3, Lost 14, Goals for 2, Goals against 27.

2 goals in 17 games....

This was my first full season following the Blades. I've had a season ticket ever since.....oh my goodness all those years of pain.....well not all of them were but goodness I've seen some rubbish.

And Wednesday had just had a disastrous season seeing them relegated to the third division for the first time in their history.....

Indeed.

To cheer up those depressed by our current predicament, have a look at Wednesday's league record from January 1975 until the end of the season, a total of 17 games. Check out in particular the goals scored tally:

Man Utd away 0-2
Portsmouth home 0-2
York away 0-3
Blackpool home 0-0
Notts County home 0-1
Fulham away 1-2
WBA away 0-4
Orient home 0-1
Cardiff away 0-0
Millwall home 0-1
Southampton home 0-1
Notts Forest away 0-1
Norwich home 0-1
Bristol City away 0-1
Oxford home 1-1
Aston Villa home 0-4
Hull away 0-1

We have never had a run like that.

And remember that these things go in cycles: those days will return.

Tony Field plays a slick one-two with Beckenbauer and Terry Garbett "scores the clincher".

This is my first forum entry. I have a team photo from my shoot magazine in 1975. To assist identification the squad names are at it's base.

I know one or two were getting older, and Guthrie was a flop, but that squad should have been good enough...what a disaster it was after the promise of the previous season, and then the following depressing slide down the divisions to follow...I thought I'd got over it...it's all coming back to me now...At least we left dirty Leeds record least points haul intact, and Wendy were still shite.

I was at that Elland Road match that night. Lovely goal from Woody who placed the ball from just out the penalty box. Harvey had no chance of stopping the shot!
