After paying homage to Baxter with a Human League song, it was Depeche Mode today and Just Cant Get Enough. Couldn't hear all the words but have to say that I enjoyed it. Time for us to get creative with an 80's number?

It's exactly the same one as we sang for a short time, as many others have, and is a bit crap :)

But yeah, pick an 80s number no-one has done yet and I'm all for it :)

I would've thought they might have done at least one Inspiral Carpets song, they came from Oldham after all.

"This is how it feels to be lonely
This is how it feels to be small
This is how it feels when your world means nothing at all"

Actually that doesn't really work as a football chant

That chant was the best thing Oldham did today

This is how it feels to be Barnsley,
this is how it feels to be sad,
this is how it feels when your sister's shagging your dad.

If these can manage an 80's tune...

Would absolutely love to see/hear something like this at The Lane. Awesome.

Being a mahoooosive Inspiral Carpets fan that takes me back to when we played them at Boundary Park in 1990. It was Inspiral Carpets back to back on the pa before the match and at half time. Brilliant! :)
They played on plastic back then and had not lost for about 38 games on it prior to us going there and beating them. It was a barmy evening and at the back of the away end there was a game of football (about 35 a side) going on before the match.
Happy days :)

Another one for Baxter should he return

You could try and convert Electric Dreams to rhyme with Alex Baptiste but it be the most contrived song anyone's ever done.

When we won 2-0 at Bury a couple of years ago

"I wonder what it's like to be Wednesday
I wonder what It's like to be small
You signed Rodri
We signed Jonathan Forte
Jonathan Forte"

I'm still singing it ;)

It was the exact words of the actual song but starts off with "when I watch you Oldham"..

Celtic have sung it years. Here is Celtic Park in full voice

They also sing the Happy Hardcore song "Toytown"

Man United sing, although less these days, this to the Inspiral Carpets song:

This is how it feels to be City
This is how it feels to be small
This is how it feels when your team wins nothing at all
Nothing at all...

Coldest evening ever if memory serves me right and the ball bounced higher off that pitch than I have ever seen it. Really was a special night.

We could always change the U2 classic to Saturday, bloody Saturday?

After yesterday's performance we could do a song about Ryan Flynn to the Pet Shop Boys 'It's A Sin'.
'When I look back upon my life, its always with a sense of shame. For we used to boo his name. It's Ryan Flynn.'

"Tell me why. Don't you try. Not to break all our hearts and make it so hard for yourselves?"

Not an 80's number, but I used to love that Sex Pistols chant we did.

'I am a Sheffield boy...'
