All three were very good finishes. Particularly like the fact Flynn kept on his feet after contact from the keeper to smash it home.

More of this sort of football please!

Exactly.

All good goals and it seems the atmosphere in the squad has changed since Collins has gone. Maybe it's too soon to judge?

Cheers for that.

First goal was a really good touch from Whiteman - didn't realise at the time, thought he'd fluked it.

Speaking of which...From John Street it looked like the second was jammy twice: the pass was to Che but missed  ... and Flynny picked it up :)... only to overrun it ....but that took him past the keeper :) then a very good and intelligent(!) finish high into the net :D.

So many players hit the ball on the ground even when up against defenders on the line. Hit it low past a keeper and high past a defender.

Call me a conspiracy theorist but surely it's no coincidence that President Obama gets the face on with Britain in the same week that Collins move to America is finalised.

The U.S takes matters of defence very seriously, and this will be a devastating blow....
Unbeknown to Obama, Collins will be entering the USA with a suitcase packed with this Seasons home kit

They are fuckin doomed

Don't like to pick a negative (and I know he was ill) but watching Hammond 'closing down' Main before he hit the bar was scary.
To be fair Coops he was a busted flush by this time ,treading water and went off soon after ,Mane will ever hit one like that again either. Early on in this thread WHF says Flynn over ran he ball when he scored ,far from it he drew the keeper and went round him ,don't take credit away when its been gained.

Great play from Flynn for the 2nd. How many times do we see players take it past the keeper, overrun it slightly then take another touch to control it, allowing defenders and the keeper to get back.? Flynaldo didn't need that touch, he hit it on the run and got the ball into the unguarded net from a very tight angle

All 3 goals were cracking finishes in their own different ways... 20 yarder outside of the foot on the half volley by a defender, the midfielder surging run into box and not breaking stride to finish with aplomb and then the cherry on the icing with a typical Sharp poachers finish inside the box rifling it past the keeper!

Don't get Canada involved in this - those American twats r still blaming us (I daily "us" guardedly
Hit post too soon..... (Sounds like could be part of Deadbat's report...) meant to say that those American twats r still blaming us (said guardedly as "us" as I'm a dual citizen (for tax reasons....) but heart still in Sheffield and the surrounding hills and Froggatt...) and our porous borders for 911.

Sounds like a good win today - will have to wait until tomorrow for highlights as Canadian ISP's not eligible to view Sky...

Let's see wot happens at Millwall next week - hopefully a good following - remember wen I was over on business in London a few years ago, saw a game at BDTBL and was getting tickets to MKDons and Millwall away in the following few days and couldn't understand why 3* as many Blades going to the Den than MKD wen the TO girl told me "they're just goin' for ruck....". Then remember being caged in on that walkway after game, cops opening gate to station way too early (ie b4 Millwall fans had all gone) and all f**kin 'ell letting loose on the platform.

All quality goals and it showed how Adkins would like us to play.

Just watched that back. If you look closely you can clearly see the Oldham player cheating:

Great to see three good goals but John's would have been saved by most keepers. Flynn was just what we needed yesterday, on that form he is excellent. Push forrard, mek the goal yours. Excellent.

Ben Whiteman: 2 more assists to his name in one game than Paul Coutts has got all season. Just sayin...

Pull yer finger out, Couttsy!

An actual conversation I had with a waitress in Buffalo went
Hi Guys love your accents ,where are you from ?
England
Reeeaaly ,coool ,whereabouts
Sheffield
Is that near London
no further up north
Like near Canada ?
yes can I have a menu. :)

Sounds like a keeper.....

......for one night.

Hammond at fault for both their chances. He really needs to concentrate more.
