Did any player do anything worthy of praise yesterday?

Has any player done anything worthy of praise this season?

Go on. Be positive. I dare you.

;-)
I think they dress themselves and manage to get all the way out of the tunnel and on to the pitch

And we're all jolly proud of them for doing it

There's a video been posted showing less than ten seconds ( in one game) of Sammon actually doing what he's being paid to do. I think that's "proof" he's been playing well.

Do you think he deserves any credit at all?

Yes, a well done should suffice. Saying things like "Fearlessness of youth" is going slightly over the top. Maybe use fearlessness of youth if he stepped up to take a 90th minute penalty to win at Wembley. We scraped a point at the giants of Fleetwood (not that we deserved a point).

My Dad was behind the goal and said that the keeper did start it, but he didn't hear what he said. The ref did indeed tell him that it was his own fault (though there is no excuse for throwing anything).

What you don't see on the highlights is with all this going on Adams had to wait 5 minutes to take the kick, so credit to him for scoring.

And well done Flynn for winning a penalty and almost going round somebody.

A lot of people have a go at Flynn, but I reckon he's not a bad little player, just needs encouragement.

Fans and Adkins management alike cannot have any sentimental thoughts for any players . We have got to be in a mindset of taking no prisoners . This set of players have one way and another let us , the club and themselves down over a number of seasons . Get them all out who are out of contract and let's start with a clean sheet . Too many bad habits and memories without taking drastic action.

If Adkins does not do this , he his signing his own death warrant as SUFC manager . The gloves have got to be off .

Given the state of things on and off the pitch at the moment I thought there was a lot of pressure on that penalty.

I was following on Twitter and thought Hammond might step up, miss, and things would go nuclear.

He did well to take responsibility.

Either that comes from the fearlessness of youth or self-confidence, or maybe someplace else.

I'd imagine plenty of the others didn't fancy it.

(Insert here endless tedious replies about wage-stealing, lack of commitment etc.)

Che did. And scored.

I see it as a step in his development.

The celebration needs a bit of work (get on with the game), but I'm not sure I'd coach that out of him.

So fulfilling ones own job description is now something to be commended?

I daren't imagine what this thread would look like if it was a 25 yard bicycle volley.

Why not just post it on the penalty thread that foxy put up then? In fact don't answer that because I already know. Oh, that's right, you won't answer it anyway.

Praise should go out to Flynn for winning it and there's no thread on him.

Well according to LS26Blade he's shit.

yep you can praise him for the penalty - but take it away for letting the full back run forward and centre it for their first goal. Shocking midfield/defending/closing down.

He's another that comes under the NGE banner.

As for the person that originally said that phrase - Garth Crooks - did anyone see him on final score - too many Big Macs - someone needs to show him a bloody mirror.

He is the worse pundit ever, is obviously only employed by the Beeb for one reason.

He does. Given the some of the reactions on the terraces this year, not normally taking penalties and his young age, he could have easily let a more experienced player take it. Done is a fairly obvious candidate but it could have been Sammon.

Good god !!!

If it had been Sammon then NASA would probably be worrying about whether it constituted a danger on re-entry to the atmosphere along with Simmondsen's penalty .....

He's not very good and is very much a confidence player who showed what he can do at places like Villa but they were all too few and far between. He deserved praise for the penalty but as Fullwood blade says he also deserves criticism for one of the goals. To be fair to Flynny, i don't think he did a bad job at RB and he can't play any worse than Brayford at the minute, Brayford isn't even as influential in his forward play now like he was in his loan spell and his defending has been shocking at times but only whisper this because some of our fans won't like it.

Credit to Adams yesterday with Billy ill, and Baxter out he stepped up and took the penalty.

Fearlessness of youth, confidence, maturity, who knows? But very good to see.

And even better that he scored.

I think his technique needs a bit of work, but it went in didn't it? Just.

Well said. Takes a bit of bottle, in the current context of this club. Well done Che, no need fo any negatives on this comment as far as I can see
