Credit to Adams yesterday with Billy ill, and Baxter out he stepped up and took the penalty.

Fearlessness of youth, confidence, maturity, who knows? But very good to see.

And even better that he scored.

I think his technique needs a bit of work, but it went in didn't it? Just.

What a time to be alive

At least someone in the team is stepping up.

Christ, he took a penalty, not spent six months defusing roadside IED's in Iraq.

the football league show said our fans chucked a coin at the keeper just before the pen,the ref said he deserved it and will be reporting what the keeper said, ...so what did the keeper say to get a coin thrown at him ?

Great that he scored, but his execution looked let's say less than assured

I hope that's just nerves and inexperience and that one did him the world of good

If not, bring Sharp back for the next one quick :)

My Dad was behind the goal and said that the keeper did start it, but he didn't hear what he said. The ref did indeed tell him that it was his own fault (though there is no excuse for throwing anything).

What you don't see on the highlights is with all this going on Adams had to wait 5 minutes to take the kick, so credit to him for scoring.

And well done Flynn for winning a penalty and almost going round somebody.

He's a professional footballer ffs paid more than I will probably ever see and allegedly is a goal scorer. What's the big deal?

Should we concerned from a team spirit perspective that not a single player went up to celebrate with Che after he netted his last minute equaliser?

He turned round and no one was there!

"Credit to Hammond today for putting his boots on the correct feet before the game, especially with the pressure the teams under at the moment.
He gave a great interview about it after the match and I agreed with him"

They wanted to get on with it ???

Absolutely! God forbid someone should come on here to praise a United player and get away with it! o_O

I expect had he missed you would have been all over it like a cheap suit......:)

We should be concerned that one of our footballers thinks it's acceptable to run the clock down celebrating when there's a game to win.

Shameful thread. Someone decides to post a reasoned, not in the least over-the-top compliment that one of our young players did something right and apparently that's not on. Because he's earning a lot, no one should credit him with anything. Because his job is not diffusing bombs, nothing he does is of merit.

Well if you don't think 3 points is better than 1, i'm not sure there's much to say.

Oh right, so Adams was deliberately running down the clock?

Clearly I got that one wrong, sorry Highbury.

Do remind me to engage agenda prior to typing....:)

Did I say he was deliberately doing it?

Do you think he deserves any credit at all?

He does. Given the some of the reactions on the terraces this year, not normally taking penalties and his young age, he could have easily let a more experienced player take it. Done is a fairly obvious candidate but it could have been Sammon.

Did any player do anything worthy of praise yesterday?

Has any player done anything worthy of praise this season?

Go on. Be positive. I dare you.
