I said Edinborough but I'm not sure he would take the job. Powell might be an option in that he rebuilt an entire squad in a summer for Charlton to win the league.

But our issues go beyond the manager. We don't have the right structure in place to accommodate regularly changing managers. Therefore, I think we need to stick with one to let them build on their terms.

I don't want to see Adkins sacked but if he was to go I'd rather it was now and not at the end of the season, so that whoever came in got a chance to suss this lot out. Evans has just been given the dreaded vote of confidence by Cellino so he may be available soon, and possibly the right type of character to kick this lot up the arse.

When Warnock took over with us the first thing he did was organise a training match and told the players to make sure they brought their shinpads. He had them kicking lumps out of each other and they started battling again. Boy do we need some of that now.

im still on the fence whether to keep adkins, but IF he was to go. i think Steve Evans & Neil Warnock would be great to get some fight back in this side or try Brian deane who i was hoping for post clough because of his hero status & good job at sarpsborg. but i dont envy our board because we have a huge decision to make in the summer

Evans and Warnock work together?

I can think of one huge problem straight away.

Nigel Pearson...

Time to drop this bladey blade ness, Nigel lives in Sheffield is a no nonsense manager whose side he built at Leicester are currently winning the premier league, I am in no doubt he could come in here with the millstone of Adkins 40 professionals and have whipped them into a team that if it couldn't have played its way out the league, they would have at least battled thier way to the top 6 all season, he's a big bloke with a nasty streak and a lot of successes behind him..

Why it won't happen.. He would demand a war chest from the board to rebuild with the best developing young players available, and also existing senior players who found themselves out of favour at a bigger positioned club, he wouldn't take any shit and wouldn't be a yes man, his after match interviews would be short but sweet, he's man enough to be honest and genuine, calls it like it is...no spin...he'd also want a decent wage... Count him out now, although I think he's perfect for us this close season ... 3rd Nigel lucky..

Additional, I know a few who have met him first hand and they say he's s nasty piece of work, big, horrible, and sharp.... Seems just what we need to sort out our club, it won't happen with Nice Nigel and his endeavours..

I don't thing there is a logical managerial appointment to sort us out. It would have to be someone who can manage upwards and an extremely strong personality. I'm backing Nigel Adkins.
