Biggest embarrassment to the club today

Today, I was embarrassed to be a supporter of Sheffield United FC - I was disappointing enough to watch the Blades capitulate after dominating the match but those morons made me question as to whether I want to support a club that attracts neanderthals and half wits embroiled in that squalid display with the players and the stewards late on in the game.
i noticed as I was exiting the ground police were filming some of the perpetrators - I for one would like to see the club ban them both home and away for a very long time !

It's not the fact that it may put off any prospective players signing for the club but more putting off died in the wool FANS that have supported the club through thick and thin by their thugish, loutish behaviour that does not belong in a civilised society !
aye were sheff united we should be above and beyond that type of behavior lads probably thought they were the new BBC and decided to take it pitchside very long bans for lot of them one fan rang up radio sheff n was sayin how he saw young kids being taken out of ground because they were terrified just shows how bad it got when young children are getting scared and having to be taken out of the ground heard quite a few of them got arrested before they walked out of the ground tho least they got some of them should send an example to all fans not to act like that at inside the ground or outside of it

You remind me of a schoolyard kid yourself, speaking down to everybody else, then throws all of his toys out of his pram when someone comes along, doesn't lick your arse and doesn't happen to subscribe to this reputation driven, speak-down bill.

That's exactly what I thought about you when I first joined S2.

I believe it was spot on.

Passion?
Trying to steal a hard up clubs groundsheet or throwing beer around or letting off smoke bombs on the concourse is just showing passion?
God help us all if they start over stepping the mark then .......
aye i was gonna take my dad to chesterfield away for his 61st birthday which would have been his first blades match for nearly 25 years but what happened yesterday made me decide that instead of taking him to a local derby against a former sheff u manager il take him to see us play a team that turned us over on opening day of the season my dad lived in the dark ages of sheff u fans and what happened yesterday ive got no guarantee that he will be safe if stuff like that kicks off again at chesterfield

Yes mate. The genuine blades sang Shreds name many times and applauded throughout the 63rd minute. Shame our tributes have been overshadowed by the bellend brigade
yh feel sorry for shreds family and that denise who rochdale asked us to show respect for during the match wouldnt be surprised if they start badmouthing the club for weeks on end now due to the green street wannabes ruining it for everyone

Do you really think I had people licking my arse, bowing down to me all the time? You must have been looking at the wrong forum if you do because I'm afraid that's never how it's been.

Yesterdays behaviour by the yobs, morons and imbeciles was at best infantile and at worst threatening to both, players, stewards and groundstaff but, most of all the proper fans of Sheffield United FC.
They say, the actions are born out of frustration - I was equally frustrated, but didn't have to resort to behaving like a deranged, half wit who have been let out for a day and doesn't have a clue of how to behave when out in public !
I don't want to spend my time with these cretins, but my two recent away days to Doncaster and Rochdale has confirmed that, unfortunately, we have attracted this lowlife to follow our club and they are using our poor performances on the field of play to showcase their true colours !
Hopefully, there is enough cctv, police and YouTube coverage to identify the plebs !
football heaven has a few pictures some of them are detailed enough to see peoples faces

Those twats would have, when Wendy attacked palace on the pitch that day nothing on RS....biased..

Paedophile protecting bbc...shut em all down
The bits of radio pig we got on the way back was so embarrassing , that Buchan guy couldn't wait to mention the crowd trouble with every call and there were some really good educated callers on for a change. They really are a fucking joke that station , they even managed to play an Interview with that porkuguese wanker carbunkle even though they didn't have a game. BBC had a bad day all round.

You take your dad to the Chesterfield game if you can get tickets. As much as the idiot element would like to go, there will be limited tickets due to our much smaller allocation. Genuine Blades only for that one I reckon

Thank you for your helpful and informative information.

I'll be sure to add it to my growing vocabulary
Oh give over people complain about absolutely anything these days. Football violence, it's nothing new. It's what happens sometimes. Anyone who doesn't like it knows there's a chance of it happening and takes that risk when they buy their ST/ticket.
Rape, child exploitation,murder,starvation........hey shit happens so let's just accept it and move on.

I saw someone say "it's one of the biggest problems with the club" for example. The general reaction on here has been over the top. Trouble at the match never used to get all this. Nobody is saying it's acceptable, it's just as though it's in fashion to be as outraged as you can about as many things as you can find.
I know.........let's burn a witch,just a little one,oh c'mon it was'nt a problem before,stop being so fucking fashionable.

You once said you didn't come on here to be popular and you've achieved that, but you're coming across as slightly envious of somebody who has 10,000 Likes and you're now inferring that those Likes amount to fawning.

If that's true, are the Likes that you get for similar reasons, or are they somehow different and more worthy?

I was making the point that as he has a lot of "likes" (unlike envious me), and seems to hate it when his views are challenged (after unprovoked personal abuse in reply to a post making a perfectly valid point 3 others were making, the reason for which has gone unanswered by sitwell himself), he may in fact be used to people agreeing with him a lot, thus making him a bit like a spoilt child when they don't. All the evidence, on this thread in particular, backs that up perfectly.

We've always had our fair share of moronic fans, it used to make me cringe when I pretty much went everywhere for a good few years, the problem is now that they have something to moan about and their numbers are growing. These are the people that were what I'd call the "Premiership Blades" and now manage to drag their knuckles to various pubs and grounds around the country. They have a sense of entitlement around us being in the Championship and higher and also think if they start a few songs then they're the bees knees.

Before there were enough sensible fans around to tell them to do one, however as they become more vocal (and pissed/charlie'd up) and aggressive it becomes more difficult for reasonable fans to say anything without fearing the mob. I'd like to think in 4 or 5 years time I could take my boy (now 3) to an away match in relative safety but this is unlikely so we'll stay away until he's a fair bit older.

But what you seem to not realise is that Sitwell has been around the message boards a long time, during that time he has debated with a lot of people, and met a fair few or had dealings with a fair few posters. Because he has been around for a long time, he has earned the respect of a lot of the forum community, and if he doesn't agree with someone you can usually have a good debate with him. But the key thing is here is that he has respect, and i don't really think it bothers him if someone agrees or disagrees with him. That is the difference though i think in this case, he has the respect of the others, and you don't seem to, as you seem to like forcing your own, often incorrect view down the necks of other people, and then kicking off when people either disagree or take the mick. To be honest you have managed to embarrass yourself time and time again, and that is why people don't either have a great deal of respect for you, or take the piss a little bit.

I say what I think and if I don't agree with someone I will say so whether I like them or not. I have disagreed strongly with some on here who I have met at games and become quite friendly with over the years ,also there are some who we have argued and called each other allsorts, yet after we have found other points we agree on and again have become friendly with. Its not about point scoring (that 'likes' business means fa to be honest ,not like I won owt) its about having a decent argument or debate and then move on to the next one ,and if you can give or receive bits of knowledge or information its even more useful. You wont find more opposite people than say Esablade Brownie and Tarquin than me on certain subjects ,but I always read their posts and if I don't agree banter it out with them ,I respect all 3 of them now as I do 99% of everyone else on here. You just don't seem to get it , anyway congratulations on fucking up another very good thread.

Edit , Oh and by the way regarding the 3 of you , I did have a go at Judge if you look back and I think Pete went to the game so the point was invalid ,I wasn't just picking on you.

Another edit :) If you look back over the past week I have actually given you some likes on things I agree with you on.

That is a sad indictment of the current state of affairs I'm afraid.

Sheffield United away days have for me personally been the best day out going, there has been nothing finer than being up early on a saturday morning, go on a trip to a far flung town or city, with a group of mates, having plenty of beer all day, seeing a football match and then having a few more beers on the way back and rolling back in to Sheffield hammered late at night having had a good day out. There is absolutely nothing wrong with that. On these day outs, i know which pubs to go to on away days because i have been there before and been welcome visitors, i have struck loads of friendships up on the away days, friendships that are still live and valid these days, from meeting some of my best friends years ago on away trips, to a casual nod and hello with someone i might have had a beer with 10 or 15 years ago. You know what, in that time i can only remember one occasion where i have felt the need to throw a punch (and that was warranted as i chinned a knobhead i know as the 'racist tash man' who tagged on to me and my group of friends and used the fact that he had tagged on to us as a perfectly valid reason to racially abuse and threaten a couple of black teenagers on the underground on the way back from Palace 10 or 11 years ago), i never felt any requirement for being generally abusive to opposing fans and families, i never felt the need to rip down air conditioning units, the urge to steal pitch covers was never an itch that needed scratching, but the desire to enjoy a good day out, a few beers and enjoying myself without acting like a total cunt was a pre-requisite.

The problem is that the kids nowadays have a clear definition of what an away day should be. It is based on a loose hybrid of Football Factory and Green Street splashed with a soupcon of the Lad Bible. They are all coked up to the eyeballs because it is seen as the done thing (without any clear thought to the long-term consequences), they think it is acceptable to engage in acts of random criminal damage and don't really care about who they threaten or intimidate because in their warped view 'We're Sheff Utd, we do what we want'. They film it all on their mobiles to show off and try and outdo others, and similar retards for other clubs, because social media is now some sort of proving ground rather than the terraces of the 1970's (I bet SYP football intelligence unit love seeing these videos as they are just giving the authorities evidence). Gone is the days when they gained respect for impressive standards of beer consumption and gaining the respect of their elders. That is something that any regular on Shreds old coach would attest to. It will not be long to these idiots have completely fucked their long term lives up by being the proud owner of the dual drug habit and criminal record. They are all followers because when you look at them, they are all part of a group, but i look at them individually and think to myself that if it came down to a one on one fight with any of them, then they would absolutely shit it. They are nothing but immature children in an environment where they have got all the freedoms of being in an adult world and making childish, immature choices.

I don't think it is right and fair that people like me and yourself who have got young children should be forced away from the away games. I've took my 6 year old lad to a handful of away games over the last few years, he asks now 'when can we go and watch United at another teams ground', and I'm afraid that now it might be some time until he goes away with me again. It's a shame because effectively he, and other children who have an equal and unequivocal love of the game are being driven away from the game, by what, a set of immature children fuelled on Cocaine and Alcohol who live and die by the mantra "We're Sheff Utd, we do what we want?"

Fucking arseholes, the lot of them.

Couple of points:

1. When I first started going in the late 70's and early 80's, casual violence and racism was rampant. What goes in today os nothing like that and I would caution those who look back with starry eyes to what it was like when they were young to remember that; football has moved on a lot.
2. Having said that, people who behave like these guys at Rochdale are indeed arses and anyone who justifies that as somehow "working class" are insulting working class people - there are idiots and thugs in all social classes (cf the Bullingdon Club).

Brilliantly put Brownie ,its got to the stage where you would even have to think twice about Wembley ,as there is no where to move away to like there was on Saturday. The reason my daughter doesn't want to go is purely because she cant see as everyone stands up ,and until she grows up a bit theres nothing I can do about that. In the meantime I can go with the mates and get some beers in so its not all bad :)

Point 2, they aren't just idiots and thugs. I know a few proper thugs, don't really have that much to do with them to be honest but i know some. I even know what one of the top boys from the OCS from working with him 18 years ago. He is a good bloke to talk to, loves his football club, but if he says it is Friday, then it is Friday. The problem is these guys at Rochdale are just idiots with aspirations of being a thug themselves.

How do I force my view down the necks of others? A lot of that post is largely hot air, basically saying an opinion is worth more the longer you've been posting, which I think most others would agree, is complete bollocks.

I think there is a tendency on here amongst some people to romanticise "real" thugs as opposed to wannabes. I can't go with that.

I'm not trying to romanticise real thugs are opposed these wannabes. The lad I mentioned has always come across as being decent with me and I'm the same in return, I respect him for the side I know to him as opposed to the other side.

I'm illustrating the clear problem you get when idiots have aspirations of being thugs.

I would suggest that real thugs are a worst problem that aspirant thugs.
