Team for Rochdale

I'd go for

------------------------Long
-----------Edgar - Basham - McEveley
Brayford--------------------------------------K.Wallace
----------Coutts - Hammond - Cuvelier

From what I've seen of Coutts and Hammond, they just don't work together. Neither can run all game and are too slow.

For me, in this formation, that central midfield is:

Hammond or Coutts
Reed or Scougs or Cuvelier
Flynn or Cuvelier or Baxter

If you play Scougs you need to play Cuvelier or Baxter.

Good shout on Wallace, although he seems to be off the radar for some reason

Thought Wallace has been injured. Hence his exclusion from squad. I agree he has all the attributes for left wing back though.

Happy with that logic Swizzler.

So I'd go Hammond or Coutts = Coutts
Reed or Scougs or Cuvelier = Cuvelier
and Flynn or Cuvelier or Baxter = Cuvelier

Yes, I think that works.

Whatever midfield we put out, I hope they don't have a stinker. I don't want a Doylesque scenario with Hammond where a poor performance in his absence suddenly makes him indispensable.... even though it was sort of true for Doyle.

He didn't have a disastrous performance on Saturday. Not many other options are there? When you've got a poor squad, you unfortunately have to select poor players.

You can't select suspended players. As far as I'm aware that has always been the rules and that's why you have to question some peoples logic on the team they're supposed to follow. ;)
 
Barney Sorry to break this to you but incase you didn't know hammond is suspended after picking up his 10th card of the campaign not sure if you realised but if you use your fingers to count the cards he has got to you would realise this.

But onto the team I'd go for:
Long
Basham_____ edgar______ mceverly
Brayford____________flynn (wallace?) If fit
Coutts____reed_____cuvelier
Sharp_____adams

I'm sure you're aware of my nigh on 4 month absence, only to have been broken at the weekend. It goes without saying it's very poor to have picked up that many bookings at this stage.

It's pretty much the only team Nigel can go with, if that's the formation he wants to play.

Lets forget about whether or not he should've got 10 bookings or not and just acknowledge that he can't play against Rochdale which is what the thread is about and concentrate on who can play in his place. I'd go Coutts, Reed and Cuvelier if they're all fit and not suspended :)

Let's not tell others what to do on an open message board. Reed would be at the very bottom of the list of players I'd play. Showed again Saturday how hopelessly out of his depth he is at this level of football and physicality. Coutts, yeah, Cuvelier, worth his chance for a stint in the first team, it's only been 3 years. If he can't make it as a regular in this dumpsite of a squad I'm afraid he won't ever.

You still haven't acknowledged it, what a shock!

I've tried to be diplomatic now I'm just going to say it. You're not a Blade with some of the shit you're spouting against our players in this post and recognising what players can play or not in this very thread, why don't you just leave it now as you have been rumbled on more than one occasion. I have been willing to let it run and giving you the benefit of doubt but you have confirmed what others have been saying about you, especially with you going straight on the defensive in your opening line when I wasn't doing no such thing. I was commenting on what the thread was about, there could be another thread on his bookings but that has fuck all to do with the Rochdale lineup, do you get this yet?
