McCabe Speaking to the Media

Just read Bohemians thread "time for McCabe to show leadership and make a statement" Even the figures Bohemian quoted are the same as KM quoted today.

It's all been there and the facts are consistently available for those who wish to study them. Those who don't wish to listen never will listen. Suggest you don't listen to those posters!!
Of course, but if McCabe spunked let's say £30,000,000 in China, should we as fans respect that?

Some of that money was invested with far more than our football club in mind.

In any case, it has taken incompetence of stratospheric proportions to have "invested" so much and delivered so little.

The man at the top determines the future.

If he's going then who knows what the future holds?
You could pull decisions out of a tombola and probably been more successful than McCabe. It's an incredibly easy act to follow.

We should presumably listen to posters who bang on about Clough Dynasty and how everyone should forget the past and treat SUFC 2012 or whatever under the Prince as a bright new dawn

Whoever they are.....

We are all entitled to show optimism at various stages, how cynical and sad it would be just to hark on about anything and everything negative.

You've missed my optimism this summer when Adkins was appointed and we signed Billy Sharp and Connor Sammon to lead our strike-force. It looked plenty for this league and should have been. Nobody knew Sammon would have such a bad time. Nobody knew Adams would start well and go into reverse. Nobody knew Done would break his collarbone, never to find his form to date. Nobody knew Brayford would be poor etc. etc. Some knew Baxter was a prat, but I concentrated on his undoubted skills, as did three consecutive managers. Coutts, Howard, Basham, Kennedy, Harris, McEveley, Flynn, Reed, Ryce, McNulty, J.Wallace, Kennedy, Alcock, others no doubt - all sad, individual stories about players in crisis.

Showing optimism is not a crime to be quoted against posters. Anybody on here who never shows belief is in a bad place. Support is about backing the positives and coping with the negatives.

We turned back today part way through our drive to Bramall Lane, I'd forgotten my ticket. Actually I didn't want to go anyway, these are hard times.

You quote me back in 2012. I can't quote anything you have ever posted Raul.

SUFC2012 is still working at it - as far as I know.

Nobody would disagree with that Alco. So what, shit happens despite all the cash and all the effort.

Don't forget Murphy wanted to go and when a Championship club comes knocking you have to let players go ............................................................................. Tell that to Gillingham or Walsall, I'm sure Dack and Bradshaw will be starting for them today despite offers from Championship clubs for their services. McCabe is full of shit.

As someone still nursing an unordered pint and not yet inthe groundI understand that. I also understand fortune necessarily hasn't favoured us. Optimism ? I have it in spades, but not for our club.So perhaps we are not as far apart as you think.
My issue is that whilst you bang the drum for the right to be optimistic and follow your way you neglect to acknowledge that you've been wrong and are currently being proved wrong again. At no point do I decry the right or legitimacy of anyone holding views I don't agree with and implore other people not to listen to them.

For the benefit of everyone , if you wish to retort in a manner that continues the discussion the PM facility will be best.

Fair?

Why can he not just sell the rest of the club to the prince? He clearly is not that bothered anymore.

Maybe the Prince has no interest in buying it? If the club is losing money then there is no way he will want to take full control of that.

So it costs about 8 mil a year to break even - could local business not raise this and have a new board? Would things be any better? Where's Sammon?

That probably will mean either Lee Fuc Yoo will take over or that there will be no buyer meaning we will have to sell more players than buying them, Hope you are proud of yourselves NBWs!
That name ?
Is it supposed to have some comedic value ?
If so ,you do realise its not the 70's anymore dont you ?

I have asked and will ask again now where in gods name does 8m a year go ?

Its not the players wages and its not the academy and its not on transfers so where does it disapear to ?

Im not suggesting anyone is pocketing the money either ive just never yet heard any kind of explanation ,although ive had plenty of insults for asking

Some of you might remember me pointing out to you the way the club was heading in august of last year and the amount of stick i took from the majority of you well seems like most on here agree with my opinion now except a few wind up merchants who like to be contrary as it makes them feel superior but thats their perogative

Thanks but no thanks. Nobody on this earth is ever right about everything in life and certainly not football. Opinions are the game's lifeblood though. You treat me with too much respect by the looks of it. It's 0-0 by the way.

Let's play McCabe bingo which stock phrases..

No problems between him and the Prince.

Adkins record second to none.

Doesn't read forums.

Will not rest until we are back in the Premier League.

Get behind the team.

Money is available.

Got be the right players.

Accademy is our future...

Delighted to see a return of "top echelon" – it's my favourite classic McCabeism.

In answer to the original post ;

No we didn't hear anything worth listening to.

Nothing said helps us at all.

A vein attempt to quell the uprising that he is expecting.

Many supporters have made a huge emotional investment into the Blades over many years. Those advocating the replacement of Kevin McCabe is like making a decision of putting all your life savings, pension, house on one horse in a 2 horse race. If it wins you could be made for life. If it loses you could end up with nothing. Your investment is worth nowt apart from your memories.

Pretty much like Blackpool or Portsmouth or Bolton. Is that what we really want?

Interesting that he asked for interested parties to get in touch.

I think he would gladly walk if he could.

Maybe is he lowerd his asking price then he may get his wish?

Yeah, because we are currently miles in front of those 3 aren't we. Jesus christ.

90 +15+25+20

150 million pounds to be mid table in league one

That is mismanagement on a nuclear scale
