Just wondering will the signing of young players, even on loan, really help us?

Is the midfielder experienced I wonder?

It's a tough one, because this lad from Man Utd has something to prove so I think it will be a good signing. And Cahill has done well since joining even though he's only young.

BUT, in midfield I think we need an experienced midfielder so we should get a nice blend.

There are very few midfielders with the kind of experience that our Keef has.

If experience is the key, how come Gillespie is coming in for so much flak?

Cos Gillespie has been playing crap?lol.

Its alright have experience, but if you cant put the performances in, then what's the point.

That's my point, you have to question whether these players with vast amounts of expereince (i.e. aged 30+) will have the drive needed to push us forward at this stage of their career.

I'd personally love the new player to be Gary Speed, Graham Kavanagh or some other old head who is comfortable on the ball but i also think our lack of pace is an equally pressing issue.

I don't think age/experience has anything to do with a club doing well to be honest - look at arsenal.

If you've got a good bunch of players whatever then you don't need experience or youth either way.

couldnt agree more there. Its not about hunger anymore, its about drive and hunger, our players need to be hungrier than anyone else for the ball and they just arent

Old or young ... Experienced or not ... Our players have no passion and as you say MAQ they dont have any fight or hunger :(

They should speak to Ricky Hatton, we has fight and hunger by the bucketload (the KFC bargain bucket-load).
