Overreactions and Future Planning

We simply cannot sack Adkins. Yes from what i've read last night was pretty awful, but sacking the manager will not solve this problem overnight. Adkins has inherited a poor squad, and with it being such a large size, it's puts massive restrictions on who he can bring in.
The best thing we can do right now, as bad as it sounds, is write off this season, and use the summer as an overhaul. Let Adkins decide who to release, and who to re-sign. Just a manager on his own squad, not the dross Clough left him with.

Besides, if we do sack another manager, we could very easily be stuck in a situation where nobody will want to manage us, because they will fear only being given 6 months to turn us into Barcelona!

I think thats nonsense, managers expect the sack its part of their job, they just want the money. Getting sacked as a manager seems great, you get all your cash up front and then can move on and do it again.

Honestly, that's low down on the worry list. The players being gutless slow and without flair is top.

Which he had the chance to address when bringing the likes of Sammon, Hammond and woolford. But meh on Edgar but like sharp. I think player recruitment is high on the agenda and if you were the board you would want to see his list before the summer

I know we're all very passionate about our club and can get carried away but on Saturday night we were set for the play-offs and now people are questioning Adkins as our manager.

Chill. We played ok on Saturday but Donny were awful. There's been a reverse tonight.

We're not good enough to go up. This season is gone. Adkins is bold enough to start with the youngsters. We need to write-off this season, give them some experience and support them. Getting on his back and forcing him to start the more consistent older players doesn't help us whatsoever as a club. Ditto to getting on the back of our youngsters when they have a bad game.

Play Long, Reed, Adams an DCL where we can this season and see who else we can give some game time to. As long as Adkins is prepared to do this I'm behind him 100%.
Is this a wind up ?
Set for the play offs ?

This team got to the play offs last season with other than Murphy the same players so why have we gone backwards

If it wasn't for Murphy, Jason Holt and an in-form Done we wouldn't have been in the playoffs last season. Even with them, we failed to win in the last 5 or 6 games. It's been all down hill since last January. Remember Clough telling the top two to watch out? Never happened did it, we were fortunate so many times after January.

We don't have any of those 3 players (only a back-from-injury Done) and no target man. I'm sorry but I don't buy it when people say we should be challenging for the playoffs.

Set for play offs?

We beat a poor side with a performance that wouldn't have been enough against a good side.

I said after the last home defeat, Adkins has a look of Weir about him.
Yes he does have resigned look of Weir about him. . . . . But with added bullshit.
