S24SU ratings of the past 5 games:

According to the ratings given by users on this forum, he's been our strongest defender in each of the last 5 games. I for one think he's been very solid and deserves a bit of credit for coming through what was a bad patch early in the season.

Not saying he's performing spectacularly or anything, but he's proving he's worth the shirt, at least for the moment - something a lot of people thought he would never be.

He's been good lately, very good at points but doesn't offer enough going forward for me at all, not with Woolford infront of him at least. It's got to be time to give Wallace another run soon, he's the future.

I would expect ANY player like McEv to pick up - there will be a lot of exits in the summer, one way or another if we are 3rd tier next season and should we manage a PO final victory, probably even more.

I think you will find that is the other way round and that J Mc is improving Woolfords game. In the Coventry game for instance J Mc may well have had a cardboard cutout in front of him. Just look how Woolford looks to
J Mc during a defensive situation for guidance.

Well, given that every penis begins life as a clitoris before taking the male form, its technically feasible that if ones cock was to retreat inwards, it would indeed be going 'back' to whence it came.

Agree, in general McEveley is an good defender with a bit of Championship class about him.

The problem is that his style of play means he'll try an ambitious pass or do a dummy and a dribble from the edge of his own box. He also lacks concentration every now and then,

In conclusion, an excellent defender who is prone to 1 or 2 blunders a match that can lead to giving away a goal. If he cuts out the mistakes then I have to admit he does have potential based on recent displays.

To be fair we have different expectations and standards for Brayford than we do the others.

I feel this works both ways - if Brayford is guilty of poor marking or defending, it's unlucky or a lapse, certainly no one gets on his back and boos him throughout the remainder of the game, however if J-Mac does the same, he's a pariah and deemed useless forever.

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of Brayford's but there is a diproportionate expectation of individual players depending on who is flavour of the month.

I've always liked J-Mac (there I said it!), he played well until the Spurs away game which coincided with a shoulder injury he carried for the remainder of the season. He played through the pain, made a few mistakes, and got booed by his own supporters - nice. Since coming back from another injury he's been reasonably solid and some now accept grudgingly is one of our better performing players.

I've liked it because I agree but it's all relative isn't it?
The whole team is as good as where they are in the league which is currently the 7th best side in League 1 - so individually and collectively, not the best crop of players we've ever had and possibly one of the worst. That doesn't mean it's not worth commenting on whether any of them have shown improvement or not.

I dont mind admitting that he played fantastic at Old Trafford, most solid performance since he came, at 1 point I wondered if right mceveley had got on coach but if I compare the last 2 league games 2 mths part (dont ask sky work & ST mix up) I went to in person there was very little difference between Barnsley & Swindon? whether it was confidence or oppo fwds getting belief they can make something happen thru prior displays. As the back 4 still looked as nervous as ever like it's only a matter of time til we concede & in some cases we need 2/3 to get win or even secure a pt
