Keith Hill: Rochdale have to be a 'selling club' for success

"... We are a selling club ... It's part of our business and it's part of our philosophy."

"Will there be champagne drunk at the end of the season if we retain our League One status? 100% and why shouldn't it be. ... normality for me would be establishing ourselves and remaining a League One team."

We're not, as in you and me. But the board act as though they are.

Yeah, they had their Prince/Jim/Sela-induced "blip" during the last transfer window. Now it's back to normality, it seems - in Keith Hill's words, "establishing ourselves & remaining as a League One team."

Every club outside the larger Premier teams are `selling clubs`, especially those stuck in League One :(

Leaving the 'another chance to have a go at the Board' aside, Rochdale have only spent about 8 or 9 years of their existence outside the bottom division. In terms of history, it would now be like us surviving in the Prem for a period of time.

The term 'selling club' means nothing. It used to mean a club that had to sell players on a regular basis in order to survive. Now it just seems to mean any club that sells players.

Bradshaw, Henry & Dack will leave their clubs eventually wont they, bound to move onto bigger things.
Maybe this window, maybe the summer.

Forestieri is a high end Championship player, which is where he is.

Players want to progress as far as they can, if a player wants to move, with the rare exception, they move.

Is there any way we as fans can get together and protest about this!

Erm... I think you'll find that we have to "think Liverpool". Remember that's what we were told....
