Forum evolution I'm afraid. What generally happens is the best forum (which this is) gets the majority of posters, news spreads around other sites, people make a home here, some play by the rules and some don't. Next stage is a lot of posters reduce or stop posting and the lunatics take over. You can see it happening almost as we speak.

That's how Bladesmads demise happened. Difference is they had shite moderators who let it happen.

Never signed up to Blades Mad and it had a reputation as the madhouse. I think if any moderator is fair and gives people a chance this will always be the end result. You have such a diverse mix of people, cliques develop (whether you like it or not) and then people come in to challenge that. They either get on with the existing posters (as many have) or they just keep kicking back, revelling in the attention. You can form your own opinions on here who they are but it is very simple to see.

Problem with that is that of course we should not be happy and giddy about chasing a play off spot in the Third Division after 5 years.

I will (IMHO) pay you a great compliment for your wisdom of this post - sadly, it seems that wisdom in the world is disappearing, until that it - it is too late to do anything sensible about it.

There was a lot about Bladesmad that I didn't like. Endless tit for tat, cliques, trolling, bullying etc. So I left cos this is much better.

But pre match build up was better on there. Notacheat always posted a match day thread and it was good for the build up, team news and anticipation. Paddys would post links to a match chat forum for those unable to go.

You'd hardly know there was a crucial game on today, reading this forum.

I'm 30 and I'm supping Guinness. I was also a Bladesmad alumni. So that shits on your theory.

Although if the current situation keeps you at bay then I'm in full support.

why not , we are here as its our level , or has been for 4 years , dont remember man city fans complaining about only getting out via the play offs or west brom fans they took it
at the end of the season winning the title by 20 points or spossing a 1=0 play off final win with an own goal after finishing 6th 8 points adrift of 5th ,,,, gets the same result , a place in the championship

we could beat say burton on penalties after 2 semi draws and limp to a 1=0 ugliest of wins in a final , but the result is everything , not looking good
Huddersfield got beat at home in the semis and didnt score in the final , but got up

Maybe 3, 4 years ago, maybe more. Time flies in the cyber world. It was a well publicised that he had been finally exorcised off here for persisting wumming. I used to quite enjoy his posts and the furious responses but he is very dogmatic so the debate never used to really happen, threads would descend into shouting and abuse,all in all quite dull.

I used to lock horns with Curtis on BladesUnited, and as far as i know he has never been on this board (Under the Curtis name at least) while i've been a member.
