Am I a bad Blade?!

For about 15 years, I've toiled, sweated, cried, budgeted and stressed my way to a reasonably successful business.
By successful, I don't mean fabulously wealthy, but to be in a position where I can allow my two lads to run things while Mrs Greasy and I consider taking a bit of an extended break this Winter.
Herein lies the problem.
We are considering renting a little place in Southern Spain for about 6 weeks from mid Jan to end of Feb.
On the upside, Mrs Greasy has a... errr... new lease of life (if you know what I mean) when we are on holiday and the chance to escape the dreary British Winter really appeals to me.
The obvious down side (other than an almost celibate existence if I don't go) would be missing my beloved Blades play.
So, what should I do?
Don't go and masturbate more.

After the Gillingham game , I would have rather donated my balls to a vice testing factory than continue watching us, never mind a 6 week holiday as an alternative.

Get yer sen off and enjoy real life while you can :)
but make SURE it has internet
BladesPlayer has had both games videos - and carries a game more often than not.
No brainer after you've wasted 50 years on the Blades.
And hopefully better years to come anyway :)

So, today's the day folks. Driving down to Folkestone later and chunelling across to France first thing Friday morning.
Then begins a 3 day drive down to Almeria via la tienda de adultos to pick up some supplies ;)
I hope the old toj is up to performing and that the old brain is up to remembering how to.
So for now, adios my fellow Blades.
Sing loud and proud and I hope when I return, I will be a supporter of a table-topping side.
(I just can't decide whether to make it Coventry or Burton!!)

Sounds like our lass who at the moment is sulking because she wants to go to the caravan this weekend.

Firstly Greasy, you spell it toileted!

3 bed villa

3 Bed Greasy? Do you need a 'house maid'? I could 'sort things out' in the Villa whilst you are in the obligatory English/Irish bar with a full breakfast drinking lager and watchin' footy! Second thoughts you stop in with the missus I'll do the eatin' n' drinkin'.

I know what you mean and we are off to India for five weeks soon. In retirement we take most of our holidays in Winter as they are our priority these days, though not without a few pangs of guilt after a lifetime of loyal and blind support of United.

This particular holiday was an easy decision because Clough was manager when we planned it!! I had regrets about it as soon as Adkins was appointed but not so much anymore I'm afraid.

Gone are the days when we used to travel across Majorca island on match days to pick up the result at twenty to five on a Saturday on the only capable radio on the island in Palma. It's a small world these days and so easy to keep in touch on internet anywhere in the world with the forum and live games etc.etc. Too easy in many ways.

In 2006 I went to Australia for a few months. Blades promoted.
In 2011 I went to New Zealand for a few months. Blades relegated.
In 2013 I moved to Australia. No change.

On all these occasions I missed (and still do miss) them terribly.
Bladesplayer makes it better but there's nothing like seeing them in person. At least working weekend night shifts here is a bit more exciting.

On a positive note, when I was back last year I emailed the club to see if there were any open days planned. There weren't, but they were brilliant and offered to show me (and my Aussie fiancé) around the ground and we met all the players before the Newcastle game, which is probably an experience I would never have had otherwise.

The worst thing about being in league one is the lack of televised games!

Can't believe how many plastic fans we have!:eek:

Send her with her sister/friend get the full sky film/footy package, a hotline to the curry shop and an exec package at BDTBL for 6 weeks.

Do your friggin duty and shame on all those saying go

its just nice for eating outside and just enjoying the fresh air , without the need for 5 or 6 layers of clothing

If you can afford it , its a no brainer , can rent a villa for 400 a month in winter , I use the term loosely
shoppings cheap, meals very reasonable
wine 1.50 a bottle ,bars have the football on if you dont have access to it in what you rent

Cheers Mos. You'd be welcome to join us Mate. The Missus said she'd be happy to do us both
a sandwich before we go out to the Irish bar ;)

How about I get her sister or a friend to join us B56. Would I get special dispensation for that?!

Great stuff btl. I might push the boat out and go for the posh stuff at 2.00 a bottle :D

Take all your pent up Blades frustrations out on your good lady's arse. With that amount aggressive energy unleashed, she's love you forever.

I'm a bit late to this thread but enjoy yourself.

I can't believe you even contemplating staying. I sometimes choose washing fox shit off the dog ahead of watching us concede three goals at home to Crapingham Town, let alone wall to wall shagging in the sunshine.

Enjoy and don't snap your banjo.

Cheers BP. You have to understand, I posed this question at the beginning of a season of high hopes. At the moment, you'd struggle to stop me emigrating to Afghanistan :D

Adios and good luck GCB.

Get yourself off GCB, enjoy life while you can. Me and Mrs Grappler have spent years planning holidays around football, trying to not miss any games, or as few as possible. I do the same with overseas travel at work, sit there with the fixture list in front of me before I check on flights and hotels! I have changed flights to get back to BDTBL to catch the end of the second half!

You can check in, on here, on t;internet, and we will all keep you updated.
