Firstly, I think that until the last minute Hammond was excellent yesterday. But it was a poor and needless challenge for the penalty. In my opinion we give away too many silly fouls in dangerous areas, when we are not in any real danger. Also Hammond and McEveley could have received red cards for daft challenges. We need to cut this out because it is costing us.

If they could have received red cards ,believe me they would have off that bent bastard yesterday. Worse foul in the game was Smalling body slam on Billy ,play on. Can someone tell me why when the Man U player went down injured near the end ,he required 12 paramedics and 2 stretchers ?

It's part of the nasty streak we've developed which is serving us well but I agree we are walking a tightrope.

We need to sacrifice a little solidity for a bit more going forward, a bit of pace and flair. If Shannon and Basham can stay that solid we can afford something a bit more than Woolford and Sammon for me. Though Woolford has been playing well in fairness.

I should have said Hammond and McEveley could have been sent off in recent weeks.
