we bought sharp , original plan was a swap with leeds
only just opened the JTW so not really had much chance to bring in anyone yet
no one buys anyone till after xmas 6th jan onwards
once the trimmings are down now m will see some movement

Sharp is a replacement for Murphy is he? Didn't realise he was a left winger.

A replacement should have been signed before the close of the last window. Our insistence on selling early and signing (or in most cases not signing) replacements later is the reason we remain where we are.

I didnt say he was a direct replacement, but was initially going to be swopped , thats seperate from the second part of my comment where I put we are looking for a wide player ,
We did try and sign several pother players but clubs wouldnt release them , and why , they were coming from a higher division and the parent clubs held all the aces , the exact opposite of why Murphy left

In Barney’s defence, when I proved him to be wrong about Billy Sharp being suggested by fans long before Adkins’ appointment, he did eventually concede the point. Something I’d recommend doing more often.

But the point is, last August money wasn't an issue in "trying" to sign Burn and Hammond on full transfers. So surely just loaning Hammond from October, presumably not paying his full wages whilst also loaning out a few means we should still have something in the coffers?

Lost a huge amount of credibility with that ridiculous claim. I'd always found him open and frank in person but that showed disrespect for the fanbase expecting people to swallow that. He also included cup money as "reinvestment" on the basis they "hadn't taken it out". Seeing as the investment is in shares and losses prevent dividends being voted, it made no sense whatsoever to make those claims.

I accept it could be and probably will be seen as me 'chickening' out. Going to meet someone that thinks I'm a cunt, and claims to have wanted to say it face-to face, really isn't worth it for the trouble it'd cause. Because I don't know about you, but if someone calls you a cunt to your face, unless your obviously a lot weaker than that person, I doubt you'll be wanting them to get away with it. I was being an arse for winding him up I know, because I knew deep down I'd have to shut up and think like an adult, much to some of my inner displeasure.
