I am in the camp of the team lifting the fans first, however today in the second half, something happened and I cannot really remember what other than the players were chasing and getting in there faces, but further up the pitch, a couple of shot (maybe), but suddenly the crowd, certainly on the kop suddenly got going, firstly it was just good old shouting come on! Then the chants started, and were loud, the excitement came and, for once the team responded, the best I have seen this season, really enjoyable, only disappointment was when they scored and that was only because we lost our run of clean sheets, it was great to come home and discuss the game in the car and with such positivity, coutts and Billy brilliant, but billy has to be mom for me, the final piece was when billy went off, waving like mad towards the Bradford fans, beer will be good tonight, happy new year, maybe just maybe....

Just after Sharps brilliant cross that Sammon somehow contrived to miss ,he hit with a coin ,instead of making a fuss ,he pretended to pocket it and gave a thumbs up to to Bradford tossers behind the goal. He was brilliant today ,just ahead of Hammond and Coutts.

Really good performance today but can we keep it up? God I hope so because if we can then anything is possible :)

Well done Blades!

Just said in another thread, when the players up the tempo then the fans are lifted and the atmosphere changes to a positive, noisy and more intimidating one. This can only work in our favour

Days like today make me realise how amazing our support can be and I don't mean the numbers. If only we could get behind the team more than the "bigger" games like Bradford, because it does make a huge difference. Of course we don't get much of a mention in the media for our support but maybe that's because we don't call ourselves the massive and self praise ourselves so much that other fans believe it too! ;-)

I know I shouldn't be getting to far in front of myself, and I should be enjoying the moment but I am already looking forward to the Peterborough game, cannot remember the last time I have said that. Just wait till I have had a few later, I will be predicting how many points we will win the league by,when do the Coventry tickets go on sale?

Westley's spoilers!

Just hope we turn em over for more reasons than one

Sounds like a severe case of positivity, , like in Elf when the crowds believed in Santa , he could fly
Its what we need to do ,

I think the big encouragement was when we played some great stuff on the right hand side, a good few players involved, then we swept it across to the left hand side and had a shot or a decent cross, can't quite recall, but it was impressive play and we all knew it, the reception they got was warranted.

The higher tempo game with pace and aggression really suits this team down to the ground, but as soon as they try and slow the things down and go sideways they are shit. We are still carrying a few passengers in this team and at home we should really should have a bit more possession. But was a good solid 8/10 today.

We are being accused by The Bradford fans on twitter of racist chanting? I didn't hear owt of the sort? Sour grapes I think.

Some on the Kop were singing 'you're just a town full of ISIS' in the first half. Not just a few either, I could hear it from the South Stand.

Best atmosphere in a long time today, and nearly 25,000 for a Third Division game, in our 5th season down here, is outstanding.

It was only a few in the top corner, and only for about 3 seconds. Not condoning it mind.

No place for racist chanting of any kind anywhere in football. .... or anywhere else for that matter. Likewise..... no footballer should be subjected to being pelted by coins or any object. Those who engage in either activity really are as thick as mince.

I'm suprised that they ever manage to navigate their way through a turnstile. And sad that they do.

I missed today's game and, by the sound of it, it was the best of the season so far. Mate on the Kop was texting score updates. ;)
Hope we keep that atmosphere up for the Posh game and beyond!

Yes pal, a few to choose from mind but I thought his all round game was very good, in the last seconds of the first half his strength on the ball, his determination with, I think, two of there players round him he got into the corner and put a cross in that was of the highest class, for a winger! I seem to have forgotten what happened then, but special mention has to go to Hammond, coutts and long, he is playing well at the moment, looks confident, lets hope it continues

I was in a pub last night in Sunderland called the Ship Isis ,brilliant pub for any future games in the North east.

Would've been the 2nd highest crowd in the Championship today if we were there, only Middlesbroughs was higher. And if we were in their position......

Just shows what this club can achieve, we all know it,so does everybody else, the lane crowd, home and away are sometimes the best but sometimes the worst. That for me is when it comes off and we climb the league playing attacking football the ground will be rocking again, hopefully very soon, has to start somewhere, why not sharps lucky goal and game against coventry, also coventry is the last game of season away, get loads of tickets, what a game that could be.
