43 players in the squad!

According to NA we have 43 players in the squad,that is ridiculous at this level,especially when only around 5 or 6 are any good.
We need to get rid of 25 and bring in around 10-15 although this will take time which we don't have.
I reckon sending Hammond back and getting maybe 2 or 3 in on loan would have been a good move as 4 or 5 are also currently out on loan.
If we have a poor Xmas period we will be too far behind the top 2 and struggling to make the play offs.

If Brownie thinks that the named three should play on sat I assume he wants us to lose as they are no where near ready for 1st team football (he can't have seen them play) Connor domaio is the one closest to a first team call up in my opinion and that would be a gamble.
We have too many players as clough seemed to be collecting them ,he gave the entire under 21 s a contract before he was sacked and that really pushes the numbers up.they're not on big money and I can see the sense in it,its the bloated first team pool that's the problem and drastic surgery is required.This is a big problem for Adkins as contracted players will not leave for less money .Things may change in the new year when contracts are running out and may be more willing to take a drop rather than be part of loads of players searching for contracts in the summer.

Wow that is a huge squad for this level, it should be trimmed by at least a third before the end of the season.

I also think Jake wright should be sent out on loan to a L2 club.

I know plenty about Basham, Freeman, McEveley, Edgar, Collins and the rest of our alleged defence.

But I'm not convinced youth team players without a squad number should be considered part of the 'squad'.

And the list is 37 players.
If you take out Whiteman, Brooks and Hamilton, who are nowhere near the first team, take out the seven players on loan, that gives you 27. Take away the two crocks Wallace and Cuvelier and that's 25. Which is big but not ridiculously so.
And exactly what happens when you repeatedly change manager.

I suspect what NA meant when he said the squad was too big is that the board just won't let him bring anyone else in until he's got rid of some.
