... because I am.

This set of a useless excuse of so-called players should be ashamed to draw their wage. Never have I been so angry as I am now. Not even when we actually did go down to the fourth.

My gut reaction would be to sack the manager but how can we? It's our knee jerk reaction every single time and we just go from bad to worse to fucking atrocious.

I seriously don't know what the answer is but that isn't my job. It is though the job of those supposed to be running this once great club of ours.

I'm beginning to come to the conclusion they should be the ones to fall on their swords. The only problem being they've fucked this club up so badly no-one in their right mind would touch us with a barge pole.

Absolutely fucking disgusting.

its a disgusting result! ... but one i almost expected were not a good team! were bang average to poor and in this division that meens u can finish anywhere from 5th to 24th ! i have a feeling we may be nearer the latter by the end of the season ..

I think there's a chance we may go down but I'm not worried. If we do go down it will mean a forced shake up and almost starting again from scratch. You can bet your bottom dollar HRH et al will be on their way and despite their money, they don't have a clue what they're doing. We wouldn't miss them. Almost all of the players would be off and we could start to rebuild

The only way out of this mess is a new board, new manager and to build a new team. Adkins was my first choice but he's left me scratching my head. This is the first time in 42yrs I feel ashamed to call my self a blade

Couldn't give a fuck genuinely hope we get relegated

Not worried in the least. HRH isn't just going to stand by and watch his £1 investment go down the pan. And without him, who would be doing all the important stuff like running twitter polls or booing through minutes silences?

At the moment I would say we are certs.

If we can't beat Shrewsbury at home then I can't see us beating anyone.

I think it's a definite possibility. It's looking very much like the season we went down from the Championship. Nobody thought that was going to happen at first

I disagree, I feared for our championship status before that season even started.

As for this season, it's shaping up nicely as a reincarnation of 1980-1.

The cruelty of this football club is the way it repeatedly gets your hopes up just to bring them crashing back down again. It's just one step forward, two steps back all the fucking time.

Don't be surprised if we win the next 3 or 4 and then go on another shocking run in the new year.

We are no longer the Chelsea of the 3rd division. We are starting to look like the new Portsmouth. :(

I would argue this is the worse situation in the clubs history and I followed them all the way from the 1st to the 4th to the PL and back down to here.

When we were in the forth the gap between the top and bottom leagues wasn't as wide as the gap between the third and the PL

We were supposed to be rebuilding when we dropped down to this division. We were supposed to be rebuilding with every manager we've had while we've been down hhere.

Problem is no matter what we do nothing seems to work so I've no idea how anyone thinks dropping down another division would make any difference to the fortunes of this club.

What's so annoying is on the face of it our major decisions seem reasonable and we're all generally on board with it at the time.

The Prince, Clough and Adkins, we all thought at the time it was the way to go. It probably would have been for any other club, a Wolves or a Forest or a Preston but not us no. That would be too much to expect for this cursed club of ours.

Honestly, in my lifetime I've had nothing but shit supporting this club.

How we still pull in the crowds we do is beyond me.

Last time we got relegated to the 4th we pissed the league at the first attempt, and I've never had so much fun following the Blades away. Two years after winning the league we were promoted again to what is now the Championship.

Obviously I'd rather it didn't happen but I won't be suicidal if we go down. At least it'll break the monotony.

Yep bring on Barnet..

Can we just sack the players? Im sure Phipps is some big shot lawyer. Surely he can find a loophole in employment law.

We need to stop buying and loaning players from leagues above. They are expensive and not equipped to get out of this league.

I think there is now a 50 / 50 chance we will go down, it you offered me a fifth from bottom finish now I would snatch your hand off.

I have been an Adkins supporter but tonight was more than unacceptable it was shameful.

I don't know what the answer is, if you sack him then what? Put Morgan in charge for Saturday? That's as likely to fire up Barnsley as us with the history there. We have to look upon the next game as a relegation six pointer as much as a local derby.

A shameful night in the history of this football club.

I'm sure it's our fault though for 'giving up".

I hazard a guess they'll be no more threads asking if we can get automatic promotion!
There will be when we drop into league two, the only question is which one of the three happy clappers will be the first to post it.

I'm thinking more relegation than promotion at the moment that is a fact. With the prospect of no more loans through the door until new year, I would really like to know what the boards intention is at this particular moment. NA was supposedly brought in this season to get us promoted, but that has gone up in smoke, and please don't start telling me that there's half a season to go etc, 2 or 3 additions (ha) in January are not going to turn this bunch of losers into a transformed promotion pushing side. So are the board now waiting until January so that Nigel can salvage something from the car crash of this season and consolidate us as a mid table side, who hopefully can rebuild next season and at least try and compete with the likes of Burton, Shrewsbury, Fleetwood . They have certainly shown no intention of assisting Nigel, and remain silent, preferring to let the amiable Yank keep trotting out the patronising shite.

Warnock and Bassett used to sign players for next to nowt from lower league and non-league clubs. They were always motivated and put in a shift.

The last time we graced the 4th division, we stormed it first time with a vengeance. I rather suspect that if it happened, things would be rather different, and it would take us another 5 or 6 years to get back up.
