  • Everyone loves a fat physio
  • The warranty on my 'Dean Hammond misplaced pass-o-meter' (patent pending) was voided due to overuse
  • If we made the nets a little bit bigger we'd score more goals
  • Dean Hammond runs like he's in a paddling pool full of custard
  • The effect of rain on a modern football looks similar to the effect of coating a football in butter
  • Their number 10 was Stefan Scougall from Spring 2014
  • James Wallace's head is the shape of a paint tin
  • Other teams now single out little Che for tight marking/kick the shit out of him, especially the bald bloke
  • Dean Hammond

JCR can beat most league one defenders, twice over, but can't pass water.

Billy Sharp will play a full 90 minutes whatever happens.
Thought he was alright today, in the first half it seemed like only him and Che were trying

Neither Sharp or adams had too much influence on the game today. Sharp seems to be preoccupied with grappling the centre half to worry about playing the ball. Baxter was MOM for me by a long way. Ive slated him immensely in the past but today he took the ball under pressure and for the most part played some great balls and whipped in some great crosses only for their to be no one home.

He did, second half especially he took control of the game

Watching the Chubby Physio running to the corner was probably the highlight of the game.
It had to be their left back going down injured so he needed to run the full width of the field.

One of the very few times when we could have benefitted from having a shitty brass band, someone playing him off with a sousaphone would have been magical

I would have brought Sammon on,taken Hsmmond off, moved JCR back on the right and Che out left.
Billy needs someone to play off and we needed height up front as Long kept lumping it up and we won very little in the air.
Basham was excellent today

You missed out Collins. The only ball he hit right was the goal.

Basham was great, he made an excellent foil for calamity Collins' constant clangerage

I am more and more convinced that once again we have chosen the wrong man again, it's no good saying give him time to build a team, you don't get time to build teams at this level because every year we will sell our best players and replace them with worse.

We have to find someone who can get poor players to be instant successes, a modern day Bassett.. On evidence so far it's not Adkins, a good manager of very good players, but we need someone who can get average players playing above themselves cos that is all he will get to work with here.

If Baxter was our penalty taker, Sjhrp would be getting done deserved stick. No way should be be an automatic name on the team sheet.

Adkins signings have been rubbish. We have added rubbish to an already expensively rubbish squad.

Our transfer policy, be it process or the people, has failed miserably. It is thoroughly depressing,

Sharp tries as hard as anyone but he's not looked threatening at all of late. It doesn't help him that we boot it towards his head and he's about 5ft.

Got to be honest I didn't think Hammond was too bad today. Only saw him misplace one pass (to a heavily marked player) lost possession once or twice but won it back. Got into decent attacking positions second half but no one picked out a pass to him.

You are so wrong! It is not Adkins fault, it's the useless, impatient, disloyal, lazy fans.

A good manager doesn't become bad overnight - just look at the stellar careers people like Danny Wilson, Blackwell, Micky Adams, Weir, Robson and Clough have forged since leaving United...

Exactly. Good advanced positions a number of times.

Also covered well on a couple of occasions - again off the ball - which meant Basham and Collins could tidy up together.

Set the tempo very early on with a pass he really zipped out to Bob.

Coutts ,Baxter JCR and Basham all played well today ,we controlled the midfield for a change. Adkins praise of Long (great punch for their goal !!!) is beyond me. Lack of subs was stupid ,Done and Sammon for Adams and Sharp should have been made with 15 to go ,or at least one of them. Thought it was a decent fast game and fair play to them for not sitting back. Who does Collins keep heading and passing to halfway up the south stand ?

Coutts, Baxter and Basham were OK. JCR couldn't hit a barn door with his crossing though I am afraid, no matter how tricky he can look if there's no end product what's the point. Sharp and Adams were poor.

Agree about Long amazed how many people thought that was a good punch on here? Weak as Piss from where I was sat.

JCR didn't have anyone to hit, why Sammon doesn't play when JCR plays is beyond me. You might aswell leave JCR out if you're not playing Sammon.
