We can't play as appalling bad as we did in that first half and expect to win football matches.

Yes in the second half we played much better and were very unlucky not to score a third but we got our just deserts for that disgusting first half display.

I've also no idea why, when we're chasing the game, did we not replace our strikers when we had Sammon and Done on the bench and the ineffective Sharp played a full 90 minutes.

Ive all but ruled out promotion this year, we're going no where.

I keep defending Adkins but him not bringing on any of the two players mentioned was a strange decision, especially when JCR had the beating of his full back. No one gambling on his crosses is a big problem and this is one of Dones' key attributes.

Agree with all that, bar the view on Sharp who I thought had a fairly thankless task isolated up front today.

The first half was utter garbage. We're just fortunate their defence was as dire as ours has been.

The shape of the team looked glaringly wrong first half, and I feel our improvement second half was due more to effort rather than players doing well in it. Baxter was oddly on the right wing, and while I thought he was one of our better players today we surely can't put him there just to accommodate Coutts & Hammond in the team.

Speaking of which, both were fairly terrible throughout I thought. That was the first time I've seen Hammond, and I've no idea what sort of midfielder he's supposed to be. At the minute he seems a slightly more visible version of Paul Thirlwell.

Sammon should have been on at half time in my opinion. And I'm amazed Adams was still on at the end – had a poor 2nd half in my opinion.

I thought the first half was absolutely diabolical and the second half was average. Only Baxter and maybe Basham would get above a 6/10 for me. Our problem is that we have two poor goalkeepers, a poor defence, a poor midfield and a poor strike force. Other than that we are ok

Adams was poor, as was everyone in the first half.

Sharp spent most of his time with his back to goal grappling with defenders.

It was criminal that neither Sammon or Done made the pitch for either of them.

I'm not disputing Adams had a bad game but he's 19 and Billy is 29, there's a big difference in age and i think by the time Adams gets to that age he will be a very good player. There's a lot of pressure on him for a young lad and some of the more senior players need to start stepping up to the plate and taking some pressure of the young lads shoulders.

Adams is a young player his form will fluctuate, that's not excusing him. I am more concerned about the senior players who should have been helping the younger players and leading by example but first half they disappeared. Total lack of leaders wasn't Hammond supposed to be the man, return to sender in January for me.

That match was there to be won even in the second half but giving ourselves a small mountain to climb in the first place cost us in the end.

The first player that needs to go has to be Collins. Even when he plays OK he is just too slow defensively.

Because it is as clear as day that he is under acheiving in every aspect of the management game. Most of the players are not helping but some he brought in and many others he is not getting the best out of.

I thought we were really good second half. We actually dominated territory wise which we've barely done at home. Baxter played well. Hammond seemed to have been told to be more advanced second half which actually made him a bit of a distraction to them without him doing a lot and let Coutts and Baxter have more of the ball and we looked better for it.

The odd thing was, at half time we were all deciding which players would come on at half time,and it was guaranteed that all sub's would be used because he always does, even if he doesn't need to so today he does the complete opposite, odd to say the least.

And whose job is it to motivate these players? As bad as some players are, the continuing problem at our club is appointing the wrong manager time after time. Few will yet admit it but the board have once again got it hopelessly wrong.

If you read any of my posts BW you would know i have been sticking up for Adkins. Today, i was merely pointing out that i thought it was a strange decision to not bring the two players mentioned on. We need to stick with Adkins, that i'm sure of, but that shouldn't stop us questioning some of the decisions he makes.
