Until January. Seems an extreme measure to keep him out of Sheffield booze establishments, but there you go.

Hopefully he'll get things back on track, because there is a natural goalscorer in McNulty and I thought this season he'd be a regular. Whether that is down to attitude or simply Adkins' preferences I'm not sure, but it seems to make sense to loan him out while he is presently nowhere near the matchday squad. Which given our current form, must be depressing for the lad.

Can't be that depressing, he's always out in town from what we're lead to believe. Maybe that's all he's bothered about, drinking with his mates. It's not a bad life when you think about it, train a few days per week, don't play, get drunk with mates Saturday nights and "earn" a big wage.

As I posted in the rumours McNulty thread, his dad suggests it's longer term.

Yeah it's a shame, I think he could be a great player and could have played at a higher level, he has a decent touch, he's strong with good balance and a natural finisher.

He won't however realise his potential because he's obviously as thick as shit and prefers to surround himself with his small town friends who only serve to feed his arrogance, as he pisses it up towards obscurity. Hopefully being further from Scotland will curtail his mates visits and he'll realise what he's throwing away :(

But somehow, I doubt it......

Ha – he's deleted it.

Basically in response of the club's tweet announcing it he replied "till the end of the season, not January". I suspect he'll have been asked to remove that, as presumably that deal couldn't be officially made till the window opens, as it would be more than an emergency loan.

We have a new Daft Dad of the club.

As I suggested when his name was linked to Yeovil, it's a bit odd that his agent hasn't been able to secure him a loan to a League 1 club, given Higgopotomous and Porter have managed to get them in the last two seasons. The fact he's had to slip down to League 2 to get regular football does raise a question or two.

I thought the received wisdom was that he was unfairly bullied by Clough? It now seems like he's a lazy pisshead.

Maybe Clough got it right?

For what it's worth, I think he might have done OK for us this season. We've created a lot of chances and I'd say he's arguably the most natural finisher at the club.

Indeed. The fact that neither Adkins nor Clough, with very different attacking styles, have seen fit to give him an extended run in the side (or greater opportunities for De Girolamo) would suggest the issue might be with the players being not up to standard in ability, attitude, or both.

Or maybe Clough never missed a chance to publicly slate McNulty, whereas NA has dealt with it differently?
Exactly. Clough was right about McNulty but he didn't deal with it as he should have done. He got a lot of things wrong last season. Although we're not seeing he results yet and Adkins wanted to give a lot of these wasters a chance he is now getting things moving in the right direction off the field and that's comforting despite how shite we are on it at the moment

The sooner we get players like him off the books the better IMO. By that I mean, ones that think it's OK to go out on the town so often. Shows massive disrespect to the club and fans, as he obviously doesn't give a shit about his career, so long as he's still getting money in his bank. Unless he figures that out he will always be a lower league striker.

Unfortunate, as if he got his head down, he could do really well

His dad seems a right tool. His time would be better served telling his son to knuckle down and get his head screwed on properly.

His dads obviously trying to live his dream through his sons talent. Fwiw this is a good move for both parties. Hopefully thr move down to pompey will get him away from his entourage and he will knuckle down....

Hopefully he wont have a scrap with any navy lads!!

Bad penny...move him on...all the best at Pompy...

OR Clough thought the way to get him motivated and playing to his potential was to kick him up the arse. That looks like it didn't work. Adkins has taken a different approach and that doesn't seem to have worked either (in that he's not in our team scoring the goals we expected of him).

No doubt it's all Clough's fault despite it appearing two completely different styles can't shake him out of his lethargy!
I know it's almost impossible to believe but perhaps he hasn't got the right attitude to succeed in the game.

Next week, how Adkins has saved DeGiralmo's fading career?

Overrated by our supporters. He's an OK lower league striker at best. Not sad to see him go out on loan but good luck to him.

Can we PLEASE not have a brand new thread everyone he scores a goal telling us what an awful decision it was to let him go?
What about if he dont score a goal, can we post a new thread about it being the correct decision .................

Just checkin

Not surprised or disappointed.

Yes he has notched a few but........His touch is poor, his awareness is no good, no work rate and no pace.

Yes he is a good finisher but with that being his only attribute a team has to change the way they play when he is on the pitch, he is not good enough to warrant Adkins building the other 9 outfield round him.

Yes it must be Cloughs fault. The same said manager who told us with great delight how he doesn't just look for talent but scrutinises the players background, work ethic and whether they would fit in well. Another load of bollocks he fed us.
MM has obvious talent and potential but will go down as one of life's "could have beens"
Diego is next in line. The gut wrenching thing about it is that there are 1000s of blokes and young lads out who would have given there right arm to be blessed with the talent these wasters have

What about if he turns it around completely, can we say it was a masterstroke and then campaign for his return to our team?

Mine was only one request, your other questions will have to be dealt with by the large team of Board Police who already do such a great job of monitoring this site for content.

How about, if he goes out on a Saturday, with Entourage, Jumper over Shoulders, but no Lollipop
