Even in this shit league we will be there or there abouts and Adkins will bottle any mass cull at that time. We may try and move players on who are out of contract in the summer, but a cull is definitely on the cards at some time.

Depends how he is thinking.

1) we are lets say 7th or 8th at Xmas - do you say fuck this, they have had enough chances - ship out, if possible 10 players
2) we (hopefully) go on a mini run and are comfortably 3rd - do you move lets say 5 on and bring in 2 or 3 quality.
3) do nowt and hope for the best with what he has - thinking being we won't finish top 2 regardless so just aim for a play off.

I suppose it all depends what happens in the next 4-6 weeks up until mid December - that gives him a few weeks to see who is available in the JTW.

Our inconsistent performances are becoming a nightmare for a manager and is just the problem NC had last season.

Clough believed he had at least another year - Adkins (it seems) may know he only has until season end to get us out which may force his hand.

Either way - the more the season goes on, the more inconsistent we seem to get.

If as has been described, Adkins is going for a more high up the field pressing style, it will be interesting to see how this goes in the next few weeks. If true, I am glad he is at least trying something different with the squad we have.

I find it hard to imagine a scenario where a big clearout would be right at Christmas. Don't get me wrong, I'd hope 3 or 4 went, but the big clear out should come in the summer, even if we were promoted.

If we sack Adkins in the summer then my families season tickets would be no more. We won't sack him though.
