Thought I'd share what I thought was an interesting article based on shots taken and faced per match so far this season, with analysis on attacking and defending effectiveness.
For those who can't be arsed to read the whole lot:
Shot Dominance
We just fall into the 'busy attack, busy defence' definition, with around 11 shots taken and faced on average each match to date.
Attacking Effectiveness
Only Bury have a lower number of shots taken per goal scored, which in part is impressive but begs the question as to how much better off we'd be if we created more chances. The tag of 'constant threat' seems a touch misleading when we only take a shot every 8 minutes or so.
Defensive Effectiveness
It's probably not that much of a surprise that we are labelled 'pushovers' on this one. But it wouldn't take that much of a change to rank alongside the better defensive teams in the division
