If Paul Coutts deserves his own thread then this lad definitely does. Thought he was MoM last night. Always willing to make himself available to receive the ball, strong and determined in the tackle, made plenty of overlapping runs that resulted in assists for two goals.

To think most of us didn’t think he was gonna make it as a professional footballer he was very impressive.

Just goes to show there is some merit to Adkins assessing the players and giving them a clean slate. Improvements from Coutts and Alcock further support that decision.

Adkins was right to praise his part in all three goals.and in lots of ways he's the surprise package of the season. Foxy has damning free kick evidence I believe, that he wasn't going to make it in a pub team.

Being hypercritical I'd say that - a bit like McGahey - he has it in him once a game to drop a clanger. Last night it was getting caught upfield - this happened at Peterborough too I think.

Not the finished product, but developing fast.

Man of the match without a doubt last night. Very intelligent footballer and a massive step up from McEverley. Important part in first goal with excellent first touch under pressure as well as the 2 2nd half goals.

Can I be the first to make a ubiquitous comment about selling him in the JTW?

Wallace is one of the few we have who does actually pass and move. He makes a pass forward then follows it upfield rather than just standing still admiring it.

Been very impressed with him since moving to left back

Feel sorry for Both Freeman and Wallace as surely at least one is going to have to lose their place when Brayford and Harris come back. Yet they've both been two of the most consistent performers for us this season.

Harris isn't a certainty to regain his place. Wallace is playing better now than Harris did at the end of last season. Great to have some competition.

Shame Clough was an average manager because he got us some bloody good players, notably most of the ones doing well this season.

I was seriously unimpressed with Wallace K. when he came - but he is currently our best fit option for LB. A work in progress he may be but I think he has done enough to suggest he may now have a future role at BDTBL - before I couldn't see one.

Wallace, Freeman and now McGahey coming good, three young lads who hopefully can blossom further as the season moves on.

I'm not sure he was average, I think he was a bit better than that. Made mistakes and was too slow in his building of the team but I think we were generally coached quite well, which is why NA hasn't had the impact he expected to.

From what I've seen so far Wallace looks just as good as Harris if not better. If he continues his form and improving game on game then Harris is going to struggle to command the shirt back when he's fit.

I'd like to see Freeman playing right wing when Brayford comes back at right back. I think the two of them could be dangerous down that side.

I wonder if Adkins is planning on Brayford playing CB when he comes back? Hence the lack of transfer activity in that department? Hope not, that's what got him injured in the first place.

Back on topic I thought Wallace (as well as Freeman) were excellent last night.

Yeah, he knew what to do, no doubt, but the application and the way it made the supporters feel puts him at about average for me.

Saw him on telly t'other day and he mentioned summat about perhaps he should have been more selfish and concentrated on just the first team rather than trying to progress the whole club, academy etc.

I think we'd be about there with him now but that's easy to say now he's gone and it's only slightly better.

I've suspected for a while that playing Brayford as CB is the plan.
