It can be a right pain at times, but it's a hard habit to break. More about having a laugh and a few beers with mates rather than the football. We have been absolute dog shit for years and years - well about 130 years to be exact. (save an odd season here and there)

I went to uni with a brilliant lad who taught me the Let 'em Come song. Nearly developed a soft spot, but since discovered there's nowt soft about going to Millwall games!

I think the away support is always more vociferous & boisterous than the home one and that applies to all clubs. I much prefer aways, good chance to get about, see other grounds and fans.

Despite plod & usually the home fans have a show as well, it usually ends up a right laugh.

Couldn't imagine just sitting at home watching SSN

With all the money he's saved on rail tickets he's going to buy the club and lead us to the Champions League. I think the maths are pretty sound.

Of course I'm fucking mad! Thankfully so. If everybody was dull and grey and got the train everywhere every time (and yes, I do it myself that way sometimes) then goodness me, it really would be boring.

Firstly, I've saved shitloads of money; secondly I've had some brilliant adventures and met thousands (yes thousands) of interesting people along the way, with a smattering of nutters thrown in to keep me on my mettle (including the afore-mentioned Millwall fans on their bus); thirdly, I wrote a book about it and once got recognised in Staines as "that Sheffield United fan who hitches everywhere".

Oh, and I never have lived in Greenwich but went to uni there. I live near Heathrow so I might just fly in one day.
