Jim addressing the fans on twitter 18/10/15.

Yeah, don't disagree, however I think Jim really doesn't help things. Makes a bad situation worse.

But would we be more pissed off if we had no communications from the club what so ever therefore left to feel like we are left out high and dry to wallow in our own pessimism or are we at least semi thankful that the board are making an effort to communicate with the fans and address certain questions?

Regardless of the fact that they don't always go about it in the correct manner or say what we want to hear from them at least they attempt to communicate with the fans and try to address some pretty tough questions.

The club are far from perfect but in my opinion a lot of what Jim says makes sound sense and in a way it exposes what little us fans actually know about running a modern day football club. He doesn't sugar coat things, in fact quite the opposite as he seems quite open in trying to explain where we have gone wrong over the years and puts his hands up.

I'm neither pro board or against the board, they aren't perfect by any stretch of the imagination but I do feel comfortable that the club is in good, steady hands. I want more but this is my heart over my brain as I love my club and want the best for it. It doesn't mean I am right though as I know naff all about running a football club.

Not got any interest in what Jim has to say anymore. Unfortunately he didn't have a clue about football before he arrived and still doesn't.

From what it sounds like the money for JM has 'already been spent' or will be. so let's just guess most of it has been spent. Time to suck it up and go with what we've got. Over to you Adkins because I am getting close to not giving a shit.

Don't think there are conspiracy theories at all - we are incompetent from top to bottom. All of the clubs who are a similar size to us e.g. Forest, Norwich, Pigs, Birmingham, Leeds, Leicester, Wolves etc etc - they didn't fuck about.1-3 seasons maximum and they were out of here. We're currently looking at 6 years minimum, unless we get our arse in gear and very sharpish.

I'm sorry but that's disgraceful.

The chairman has put himself in front of the supporters and responded to direct questions with detailed and direct answers.

Thank you Jim.

Personally I think it is disgraceful that the club is now in our 5th consecutive season in the third tier of English football.

What the chairman has done is come out with a few sound bites and lame duck excuses for the continual failures whilst not accepting any of the responsible, and it is people like you who have stupid enough to lap it all up.

Edgar - Started well but been really poor most of his spell and now out injured
that's cos he picked up an injury on international duty I gather, played a few games after but he wasn't right.

I wouldn't be fussed if he closed his twitter account, he is probably a great guy, and very clever but he says a hell of a lot but when you break it down there is very little substance in it. It's same as the players and manager they can all talk the talk but we are still waiting for them to deliver IMO

a lot would be kicking off about that if it were the case, yes. I quite admire Jim for trying to connect with the fans but there are limits to what he can say on there, so it's inevitable that a lot of it is just soundbytes, and it's inevitable that a lot will then get pissed off about that. He can't win on this one and to be honest in his shoes I'd be like all the others and not bother.

How bleedin hard is it to run a football club ? Get the team right and start winning matches and all the rest will fall into place anyone would think the board were planning a mission to Mars rather than the Championship. On communication with the fans I notice the nights out in a boozer for a Q&A session have stopped, I wonder why ?

Great post sadly.

Sick of all these excuses for the board. They have fucked up time after time. Both before the new owner and his advisors came in. Managerial appointments that have been disastrous, dreadful signings, terrible scouting and a product on the pitch that has been miles off promotion for every season but one where out star striker could not keep his knob in his pants.

The only ones to blame for the mess we are in is them. The people running this club. Not bad luck, not the wonderful fans (nearly 20,000 loyal suckers keep turning up) not anything but them.

Sorry if I am tired of these twitter exchanges, sound bytes and what 'they are doing/have done.' It's beyond boring. People say its great they are communicating but what is Phipps saying that is of any interest? It's all corporate bullshit and spin. if he comes out and says we are signing a player tomorrow or getting shut of some of the shit; then i might be interested. Otherwise its all smoke and mirrors. Simply put up or shut up.

Still some defend the board for the absolute pigs ear they have made of getting out of this lousy division. All the other 'big clubs' managed it. Some it took a year, some 2, some 3. Not 5. What a balls up.

A certain Q&A session that uttered the words "Jamie Murphy isn't going anywhere".

Whoever thought a manager could be trustworthy.

Soon to be 6 at this rate Deadbat. However which way it's dressed up, it really is piss poor

Ive had enough of jims bluster.....

All talk and no action.

I remember when these guys came in and we finally thought we had turned the corner.
We then finished the season with that amazing unbeaten run ans semi final defeat at Wembley.... We all thought we would smash the league the year after.

Watching Championship games this year makes me think it's a good thing we didn't go up last season. We'd have a grand total of 0 points so far

I have no doubt that our owners have good intentions and that they conduct their business in the best interests of the club and its supporters.

My doubts surround whether they can make the correct decisions or if we even have sufficient finances to even attempt it. I'm completely happy to take them at their word that the JM money and any other player sale proceeds have been made available for the first team. I'm then left wondering why that money can't buy us at least one (if not two) players that can make a positive impact. There are hundreds of players in the football league and surely a number that fit the criteria.

Our failure to do anything suggests that as I quite well suspect football finance is becoming ever more bonkers than it already is and that for whatever reason we can't put together an attractive enough deal to sign difference makers. My horrible sinking feeling is that football has left us behind and we are simply priced out of a bloated and disproportionate market.....I'm not even sure our directors realise it.

Said it before but the minute Adkins said he could coach them to be better players the board made it company policy.
