Former Players Update

A few Blades have recently asked if I could grab some views from opposition fans regarding players that have recently left us. I will hopefully make this into a regular feature and try to give an insight of how our former players are now faring.

Good work as always, doesn't look like Murphy will be missed

One point about this is that if he's standing out so much what does that say about Division 2?

Last season's promoted teams are struggling so it looks like a real step up. Otoh it's a bit of a surprise to me that Murphy - though clearly a very good player for us - is getting this level of praise in a top of the table team.

Maybe now Scotland aren't going to the Euros he'll come back.

He is surrounded by better players though whereas last season at times he was our one main threat. It must help not having two defenders on hs every game too

Suppose Doyle will always divide opinion. Pleased for Davies. Holt still fairly anonymous but seems to know where the back of the net is. Would have been happy to have seen the other Davis back with us this year. Murphy now seems to be playing with some consistency. Joe, always a trier, seems to have found his level. Other than Murphy, wish them well.
