Get them in now whilst they will still come, no one will fancy a relegation battle if we repeat 1 in 9 as a points haul.

In a normal league with strong contenders I'd agree, but I think this will be more like the campaign where Bournemouth and Donny went up. Donny won it didn't they having lost about 11 games?

I watched the game from afar on Sunday , and was genuinely shocked at the piss poor defending, and piss poor
play in general until they had thought they'd won the game at 2- nowt down .
From front to back the team work was shit , slow at throwins and free kicks , Giving the oppo , a chance to get back into positions we could exploit if we went quicker at the game.
It could have been embarrassing if Bradford had better strikers.
I'm not going to pick on individual players me and junior could see what was unfolding before us and the players who where and more importantly where not involved, at least 8 could have been subbed easily at halftime I know we're not world beaters , and think we will still go up
"Blind optimism ",or just "blind loyalty ", but Fuckme Blades we need to get into em quicker,and faster .
The " Blackout " in melonars in gran canaria is a great sports bar , bang outside my hotel and with a cash machine at the door.

Got back this morning 1.30am , so catching up HB , but the weather was great up to 36 on some days, me and my delicate skin had to be careful though . .
Although our old lass says I've a neck like a jockeys bollox.

The one great boost that highlights is that it's all about going for wins, even if you lose some. We drew loads and lost less than the top two. Adkins will go for it and not just play for a draw.

I think today will be a walk in the park. 100% confident that we'll win by a comfortable margin and keep a clean sheet.

I'd agree. (apart from the 'walk in the park' bit ). That season was unusual, and it's no good us thinking 'well if Donnie & Bournemouth - having lost 12 and 11 respectively - can go up, so can we.' Even if this season does pan out like that one, now is the time to be 'making hay' before teams like Wigan get into their stride.

What I think is becoming obvious is that it's crucial - especially at home - to score first. The whole mood of the game (and crowd!) changes, doesn't allow the opposition to 'park the bus' and they know that, if they concede another, it's practically game over.

The first 45 minutes are the obvious concern due to the last three matches in which we have been slow out of the traps and have conceded sloppy early goals. At home especially we need to be quick off the mark and get the early goal to kick on from.

I think that late show against Bradford has given Adkins something to think about as well, he said himself that he is now questioning whether to stick with his trusty 4-4-2 or not. Love him or hate him Jose baxter put on a decent show at the weekend and he deserves a starting birth and the same could probably be said for Sammon and even Alcock who was steady when he came on for McEeveley.

We also now have Che to factor back into things, he came through the u21 game the other night with a goal under the belt and is expected to be fully fit for this as well. I think this as well as the last half hour against Bradford gives us enough to be positive about if we get it right from the off.

Many people don't necessarily think the blame for the lack of rectifying our obvious deficiencies lies with Adkins.

Personally; I would be amazed if he didn't know exactly what our problems are ......

The formation against Bradford brought the best out of Baxter because he dropped a bit deeper and the players in front of him were tasked by the manager to push up and buy Baxter a bit more space and time which incidentally bought him the time to drop that ball on a 5 pence piece for Billy.

We forfeited our wide men Woolford and Campbell-Ryce who to be fair were pretty ineffective for the most anyway and it did force us to play a bit more narrow and direct but With Sammon tucked in there and with Reed and Basham pushing forward a bit it did work, it also brought one of the better performances out of Baxter that we have seen in a while all be it a cameo. Bradford couldn't deal with it.

I can't see him playing this from the off against Doncaster though. They have height and a physical presence and although Adkins said he is considering changing the formation, I can see him lining up a 4-4-2 again. Che is back fit as well and I can see him starting again on the wing.

My main concern is Baxter will start, let me explain how many times in recent months have we had a player come off the bench and change a game, then be in the starting line up next game and have an absolute stinker, done and mcnulty are two that spring to mind, my personal opinion is keep such players on the bench until they have given the same or better proformances from the bench several times and shown a bit of consistancy, which seems to be our major concern and downfall as a team, get these players proving themselves and showing they want to play for our beloved team with the same passion as we the supporters give them.
