If Bradford sold 18,000 season tickets?

I made this point several hours ago. I reckon the STs were that cheap that ST holders, don't even bother to turn up. Figures just don't add up. There must be at least a couple of thousand casual supporters.

Not knocking Foxy or saying he is wrong or owt but how can this be reight?

Today's attendance was 19,317 with 1,479 Blades #sufc #twitterblades
Obvs. dont know if you got to see the game today but in the stand to the left of where we were was a large banner , only a few rows from the front, which read "18,000 season tickets, thanks to you fans (or summat similar)

There wasn't 18000 ST sold, it was some membership bollocks and was allowed to be misreported as season tickets sales.
It's something like you get so many tickets cheaper if you buy these membership tickets. Press misreported it and the Club and fans propagated the myth.

Think ST holders are counted even if they don't attend though.

Their season ticket works out at £6.50 a match. Nice for the fans, but surely they will never compete with that income.

Yeah maybe our board should follow suit and do us a banner? I was thinking....

It's good to know we're debating the important things.

Can't find any figure on number of "flexi cards" sold but for £50 annual fee you can pay £10 to get into a game ie you buy this if you expect to go to up to 10 games.

Their website says 18k season and flexi tickets.

Ie people with Sky may well have not bothered today

There are millions of Sky subscribers but I bet only thousands watched today.

They've been offering low season ticket prices for a number of years, which is why they had the highest gates in league 2. The rationale was they'd rather have twice the supporters at half the prices. Whether the upturn in, say, food and drink and programme sales matches the increased admin and policing costs, I don't know, but it's an interesting idea.

I think they were doing season tickets at something like £150 and that's how they sold so many pre-season.

They have only got >18,000 2 out of the 4 home games so far as well. Once yesterday and then against Shrewsbury where they were just over 18k.

As others have said, it was inclusive of membership too, so a load of rubbish.

More interested in our own season tickets. bradford have always had good support. there lot went a bit quiet though when we got the upper hand and got back to 2-2 thats what counted for me

It said on a big banner at the side 18,000 season tickets sold, thank you. So I assumed that it was all ST
