I've just watched Fenebache get beaten 3-1 at home to fc molde in a local var here in Turkey and, believe me, they have defensive issues almost as bad as ours. And as for their fans, well, it was just like being on this forum after a really bad defeat (at home, say, against Bury). Nice to see football fans are the same the world over .

I'd still take a risk on any of their defenders though.

Yes but are they in league division 3 Turkey.

Certainly on par , fans the world over , comparison same , but Champions league / league 1 , the real differance.

They are admittedly playing at a higher level but, like us, they have serious defensive problems for that level (on what I saw, possibly worse than us for thelevel they are at) and have more very angry fans than we do. When the 3rd goal went in (a shot from just outside the box by a player who wasn't closeddown - sound familiar?) I thought the bar was about to get wrecked. Great fun though.

Well, that was fun. My new found Fender friends think we're ok but identified our weaknesses as jmac, jcr , Woolfard and reed. Fortunately so did our manager. When Billy slotted that one in they also said he was a better finisher than RBV god we've had some EFES this afternoon and we're now sharing a bottle of raki. Hic.

So long as I can enjoy the ups and downs with a wry smile, a beer and a bit of gallows humour, I can't grumble really. I mean which other fan base when the chips are down would make cult heroes out of the likes of Metal Mickey and Goose Uhlenbeek? Bob Hatton? Bad Boy Billy Whitehurst?

It's a donkey ride to hell and back watching the Blades, but I wouldn't swap being a Blademan for anything else. I love this club.
